Laundry Room

So Jason painted our Laundry Room last night, so today I decorated it. It's done for the most part, it still needs a few finishing touches. This post is mainly for Hollie, here are the paper flowers I made, I will e-mail you the pattern I made up for them. And I made the word L-A-U-N-D-R-Y
out of foam board and paper. I think it turned out cute. I really like that room now. Here's a peak.

On another note, I did something CrAzY today! Pure and simple. First off, I was talking to my friend on Monday and we decided to get the kids together this week to play. So we were trying to decide on where and she said, "well, we could do it over here at my house, but my yard hasn't been mowed in awhile, so we can't come over here." So I offered my home. So yesterday I was cleaning the house, making it suitable for 8 kids to just destroy it again, and then her comment came racing in my head. "my yard hasn't been mowed so we can't do it here." Then I realized, MY GRASS IS LONG!!! Normally I woulnd't care, it's the grass, but because she said that I started to think, "does she have something against un-mowed grass," or "is it playdate suicide if I invite kids over with weeds in the yard?" So I panicked. What to do, what to do? I knew Jason wouldn't have time to mow, because we had soccer, so I figured I would just do it. After all, I have seen hundreds of people mow grass before, how hard could it be?

This is where CrAzY comes in. I went out, started the lawn mower, which took a good 20 minutes, and the sad thing is, it's a key starter, not a pull thing starter. Anyways, I start mowing, and all is going well, but that was just the 10 sqft in my front yard, the ONLY flat part of my entire yard. What was I thinking, "oh, how hard can it be?" VERY!!! Mowing a quarter of an acre that is ALL hilly and different levels is hard. I thought I might die. I know, I know, a bit dramatic, but I really thought it. My life flashed before my eyes a few times.

Anyways, I FINALLY finish the yard (an hour or so later) to come in the house to find that while Ava was sleeping and I was mowing, the boys took out almost every toy they owned and made a MESS of my freshly cleaned living room. I just couldn't win. But they were so cute, and they were actually playing and not fighting (I almost died again from that one!) that I had to snap a few pictures.

Ha, Ha, that is hilarious. I can just picture you mowing the yard. I've only mowed once in my life and it's a horrible job. I can't even imagine trying to mow your massive, hilly yard. Your laundry room is adorable. I wish I had a nice one like that to decorate all cute. I love the flowers, I will definitely have to make some for Addi's room. The picture of the boys in the window seat is so cute. Were they watching out the window laughing as you passed by mowing the lawn? I would've been! ;)

Hollie, the boys probably WERE laughing at me. This is what I looked like, here's a little mental pic for ya.
I was wearing my pink uggs (couldn't find my tenny's)
jean shorts, a black baby doll shirt, hair in pig tails, and my Coach Sunglasses on, pushing the lawn mower up the hill. I bet the neighbors video taped it and you can find it somewhere on Utube.

That ensemble sounds awesome, that's what we need a picture of. It must've looked like the ghetto olympics were in town! =) Now that Jamie mentions it though, all I can picture is you mowing in your apron & heels. Too funny.
