Travelin'
So, hopefully all goes well today and tonight, and everyone gets feeling better, so we can leave for our vacation! Jason got what Blaise had over the 4th of July, and now Caiden is throwing up too! Not fun for a road trip. I just have to hope that Ava and I don't get it now!
Anyways, I have started the LIST! I am a huge list person. So I started my list of things to do, buy, clean, and pack before the trip. One of my "sub-lists" was a traveling kit.
Kids Traveling Kit:
DVD's
Books
Mix CD's with fun music
snacks
more snacks
drinks
blankets
coloring books and crayons
more snacks!
So I thought it would be fun to let them help me make their kits, and of course they wanted shark themed kits. So I got goldfish crackers, for one of their snacks, we got a DVD on sharks, we packed up all their shark books, I made a mixed CD with beach music, and then I got online and found A TON of printable coloring pages, games, and info on sharks. WOO HOO! These are the neatest sites! Ch, Ch, Ch, Check em out!

Sorry, no picture to go with this one. I was going to take a picture of their cute little booklets of all the shark stuff we found, but I am charging my camera battery. You'll have to use your imagination. So......is there anything I am forgetting? What do you pack for your kids for long road trips?
Also, I thought it would be fun, since I can't bring you all with us, if you told me what you wanted me to take a picture of. I figured it would be a fun challenge for me, and get me to think outside of the box with my photography. Now, don't leave me TOO crazy of suggestions, nothing like A man walking down Main Street, on his hands, wearing a Speedo, singing "proud to be an American" or anything like that. We are going to San Diego, Sea World, play at the beach, and Vegas,.........so something I could actually get a shot of in those places.
Okay, back to packing!

Sounds like you're on top of things. I'm checking my list as we speak. The funny thing is, since you're going to Vegas, you probably could find a guy walking on his hands down Main street with a speedo on singing "Proud to be an American". I love my hometown! Anyway, since I'm going to be with you on this trip I request that you don't take any pictures of me unless you can make me look like a supermodel. Good Luck! Actually, if there happens to be an outdoor market on the boardwalk or something I think it would be awesome to get some close-up shots of produce & fish & stuff. Is that totally lame?
Love the themed travel kit idea! You are so creative! I came across familyfun.com a couple of months ago and have really enjoyed the ideas.
YAY!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you! I know you have really been looking forward to this and you are going to have a BLAST! Have fun and I'll miss you on your birthday, but hopefully you'll have your cell phone with you so I can at least call! Love ya girl! I think you should get a picture of you kissing a shark! That would be one the kids would LOVE! hee hee (you really can do this with the fake one in the shark exhibit ;)) HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
