Why me?
You are officially invited to a Pity Party!
Hosted by: Heather
When: Now, so if you don't want to come, stop reading!
If moving wasn't going to be fun enough.............I got SUPER sick on Sunday!
I wasn't feeling too hot on Saturday, but I just thought I was so tired because I was moving. We went to a BBQ that night and spent some time with Jason's cousins and sister. It was SOOOO nice to see everyone, and Christy!!!! I have some pics, but my desktop isn't set up, so I can't load the pictures yet. Anyhoo, I wasn't feeling too hot, but like I said, I figured it was moving. But it hit me with FULL force by Sunday evening.
The STOMACH FLU!!!
I thought I already got it from Blaise, then Jason, then Caiden, but apparently I had it too easy before and it had to come back around to get me good! I feel like death warmed over, put in the microwave for five and a half minutes, exploded, scraped out, then thrown in the garbage! UGHHH!
AND on top of that we are trying to move and get organized. I was supposed to go register Blaise for school this morning, but I couldn't leave the house!!! I can barely make it out of the bathroom for 5 minutes. And I feel so weak. I can't even walk up the stairs to my bed. I am in a sad st ate!
But, when it rains it pours for me! I have a Kidney infection on top of it. Lovely!
ANd the kicker!?!?!........... I am supposed to have my girls weekend in L.A. on Friday and spend 3 glorious days with my girls, no kids, and see Wicked! I am HOPING I can still go, but I really doubt it. It's easier for me to face the reality of it now, that to keep thinking I can go, just to wake up on Friday and STILL feel like dying! Everyone that has had this flu has been down and out for AT LEAST 5 days, but 7 was more like it. So why would I be any different! Why me!?!
O'well, in true "Heather" fashion, I will see the positive.
* I don't really have to move, I just get to sit and tell people what to do, and not feel too bad about it!
* I can really get to know the bathrooms in this new house!!
* Being sick like this has reminded me that Jason is right..............we can't get pregnant again. 6 months of throwing up and bed rest is not something I would enjoy again!
* NAPS!!!
* I can take this down plan and do some MUCH needed computer stuff - update my portfolio, organize photos, and plan weekly menu's.
This was all I could really think of. I feel too crappy to think of more! And even though I thought of these, they somehow don't cheer me up, or make me think that "it's not that bad!" It's bad!
Thanks for coming to my party. No goodie bags, nothing to take home,................and believe me that is a GOOD thing, you don't want what I have!

Man, this is the worst party EVER!!! Sounds like absolutely no fun at all, I'm so sorry. I love your microwave analogy though...too funny! Well I hope you feel better soon. Wish I was there to help, or maybe not. =)
R.S.V.P.
I REGRET I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND YOUR "PITTY" PARTY.
HOWEVER, I WILL ATTEND YOUR "OH, MY POOR BABY PARTY". BEING SICK IS NEVER FUN, BEING SICK WHEN YOU'RE A MOM WITH LITTLE ONES AT HOME, AND IN THE MIDDLE OF MOVING, AND HAVE FUN PLANS YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR A LONG TIME, JUST SUCKS! I'M SOOOOO SORRY. BIG HUG FROM MOM =}XXX. LOVE THAT YOU ARE TRYING TO KEEP A SENSE OF HUMOR THOUGH.
SO LET'S MOVE ON TO THE "GET WELL SOON" PARTY. WISH WE WERE CLOSER SO I COULD BRING THE 7-UP, SOUP, AND I'LL TAKE THE KIDS FOR A WHILE SO YOU CAN REST PRESENTS.
"Oh Heather, she's so sick....
She's so sick, she's blowin chunks.
Oh Heather, hey hey hey
Oh Heather......"
Thought your pity party could use a theme song..sing it to the tune of "Oh Mickey"!
I'll send you some chicken noodle soup in the mail! ;)
Hope you get better, AND that this is the LAST round of sickness in your family for a long, long time!
I am officially confused. It has been a week or so since I checked your blog, and you are moving?! again?! didnt you just move into your new house?
Holly-
Yes, we DID just move into our other house. We lived there for 3 short months. But life happened, plans changed, and we moved on. We are really good at moving and moving on. :) And besides the actual packing and moving again, it wasn't that bad. We made some money, found a new beautiful home in a neighborhood full of kids, and are trying to look at the bright side. Houses don't matter, we learned that awhile ago. All that matters is each other,..........and things always work out, usually for the best!
Meow Holly, your comment didn't sound confused at all, it sounded deliberately catty.
Heather~
Okay, WOW. I assumed you were moving because your husband's business was relocating or something like that. BUT, I finally took the time to read back a few blogs, and I read what happened! I am so sorry! This was the first post I have read of yours in awhile, so I didn't get what was going on.
We also have to move soon because of a crappy situation, so I appreciate what you are going through. I hope this ends up being a great blessing in disquise for your family.
Sorry if my comment sounded insensitive...I really just didnt know
Sorry to hear that you are sick. It is never a good time for a mom to be sick and especially after just moving. Like your mom said, it is great that you can find some humor in all of this.
Holly,
No worries. It's hard to keep up with my life, we are always having some sort of crazy going on. I always laugh because before I had kids my life was REALLY tame and boring, not much "crazy" going on, but now it seems like I am a magnet to it!! Keeps me on my toes I guess!
And I am sorry to hear that you guys are moving too! It seems like life is serving up a lot of curve balls to everyone latley! But if it makes us stronger, makes us love our family more, and figure out what's important, I say bring it on!! But maybe not so many at a tiime!!!
Good luck with the move. Moving is NEVER fun, and I feel for ya!
