Happy Day.

It didn't start out this way. I woke up feeling like a zombie! I have been sick for about a week now, but today was the worst! My friend Andrea called to see if we wanted to go tonight, and could hear in my horse-almost-not-there-voice, that I was sick. Next thing I know, my doorbell rings, it was Andrea's daughter with some Zicam. That really made my day.

So today the kids and I just lounged around the house. I did manage to get us to Target because Blaise was itching to spend his birthday money. I looked scary.........sorry Target patrons! Then we came home made some chili, watched movies, colored, and relaxed. It was raining outside, so we opened some of the windows and it smelled so good. I love the smell of the first rain. It was almost a perfect day, if only Jason was home and I didn't feel like crap.

This afternoon I made some Layered Pumpkin Loaf bread. It's the BEST way to welcome fall!

Also, did you know that today is Happy Friends Day!?!? I told you today was a happy day. I have been blessed with some great friends throughout my life.

Summer- my first "best-friend." Kindergarten to 3rd grade. She taught me that it was funner to bring lunches than to buy, how to make necklaces from daisy's, and how to run from the boys!

Anna- she was such a sweetie. We had tons of fun!! We were family friends so we got to see each other a lot. I wish I didn't lose contact with her.

Jennifer M. - she taught me how to put lemon in my hair to make it blonder. She also taught me about lip gloss, and taught me how to fight over boys, and make up and have a dance off to C&C and the Music Factory.

Jennifer W. - she was the bestest friend ever! We moved from one school to another with each other. What a friend, eh? She taught me about MTV, magazines, and having crushes on movie stars. I wish I could get a hold of her too!

Sommer - She will always be my favorite partner in crime. I have the best memories of her. We had big plans to spend the rest of our lives together. We were going to get breast implants, and run off to Vegas and be showgirls. (ha ha) We both ended up in Vegas...........but only one of us has the boob job! (Obviously, not me!) I love this girl. She is a true friend, one that every time I see or talk to her, it's like no time has past!

Nicole - She always had the best slumber party's. Movies, pizza's, make-overs, calling boys. She was a fun friend, always having some crazy story to share with the rest of us.

Molly - She is the other sweetest person ever. I love this girl. We were inseparable our Senior year. We had the same class schedule, lived by each other, went to prom on a double, she is your ideal "girl-friend"!!

Jennifer, Chris and Karlee - My first Vegas friends. These girls hold my fondest memories. Going T.P.ing, going to the dances, hanging out at the pool and doing our nails. I love you guys!!!!

My new friend Andrea - She brings me medicine!!!

Jamie - My BFF. She taught me what BFF stands for! :) (Best Friend Forever) She and I were die hard dance fans, movie fans, and making-up-stories-about- what-we -did and fake names to tell the guys who asked us out. My favorite is when we chose Walberg as our last name. (after Marky Mark!) I love her! She was there for me when my boyfriends broke up with me, she was there with me when my Jason asked me to marry him. She brought me carmel and apples when I was preggo with Blaise and would watch 90210 with me. We were at each other's weddings, there for each other after having babies, moving, babies growing up, and a fun crafting buddy. I know that she will be in my life forever, and I am thankful for her!

My Mom and Sister - I am lucky enough to have a Mom and a Sister that I have ALWAYS called one of my best friends too. I have a great relationship with both of them, and I love them more than they could ever even know!

Take some time today to think of all your friends and be grateful for the fun, love and relationships of old friends and new.
