Trials into Blessings!

I got this idea from my sister's blog.
I thought it was a beautiful idea. I am going to take my biggest trials right now and turn them into blessings. Because after all, that is all a trial is. A blessing in disguise!

I am thankful that I have a cold right now because it makes me all the more appreciative of how really healthy I am.

I am thankful that Jason works so much, and is hardly ever home. Because this means that our prayers of having plenty of work are being answered. It also means that I married a very selfless man. One that will work 16 hour days, and miss his family and never have time for himself. But one that is a hard-worker, and one that is doing everything it takes to get our business going off the ground, because he has faith that his efforts will pay off, and that he will be able to be home more very soon.

I am thankful that we don't ever seem to have "enough" money. I would much rather have money "trials" than a lot of the other trials I could have. Money is just money. Easy come, easy go! It also helps us to prioritize what we need and want.

I am thankful that I have to do the laundry all the time, and do the dishes 3 times a day and clean the same mess over and over again. It means we have food to eat, and clothes to wear, and a comfortable home full of toys.

I am thankful that my kids fight all the time. This one was hard to think of why...............I guess because like my Mom always used to say "you can't fight with someone that you don't love." So my kids love each other, A LOT!!

I am thankful that my kids are growing up. Because it means that I am doing an okay job at being there Mom. They want to grow up, they want to experience things, and this is because we have taught them to be confident, and to love learning and growing. It means they are healthy. It means that my sole purpose on this earth.....to be my kids Mom, is coming to be. There is a lot more to being a Mom than giving birth. It's the RAISING part that makes you a Mom. And you can't raise a kid without them growing. So I guess them growing makes me a REAL Mom.

I LOVE that saying, I want a plaque like that for my house too! Aren't life's little challenges so much fun? I know I've been one for quite a while now, but I suddenly feel like such an adult with real adult problems to deal with. I know it will all work out in the end and listing what we're thankful for helps to keep it all in perspective.

I AM THANKFUL FOR SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER; HEART, MIND, SPIRIT, SPEACH, THOUGHT AND OF COURSE OUTSIDE AS WELL.
I AM THANKFUL WE ARE SUCH A CLOSE AND LOVING FAMILY. (WE JUST NEED TO WORK ON THE LOCATION THING?)
IT'S LIKE MY QUOTE OF THE WEEK, THAT I LEFT UP FOR A SECOND WEEK, BECAUSE I STILL NEED THE MESSAGE.
I AM SO PROUD OF YOU.
LOVE,
MOM
