The Haunted Train Ride.

On Friday night we took the kids up to the Heber Haunted Train Ride.

It was a blast and a great Halloween activity. And we my parents were here, so it was the perfect time to go!

The train was black. There was fog all around it. The lights were dimmed inside with eerie red and green lights. The train started to move, and the conducter came over the loud speaker telling us riders all the scary tales of the train, and the forest we were riding through. It was about a 40 minute ride through the Haunted Forest. It had just the right amount of spook. Not too much to give the kids nightmares, but enough to make them cuddle up close to Bama and get a little nervous. The conductor kept telling us that as long as the train kept moving, the ghosts could not enter the train. So of course..................the train stopped. Blaise got a little panicky at that point, and Caiden yelled "Get going Train!" As we headed back down the hill our Train Car opened and in comes a Werewolf, one of the "escaped convict ghosts," the ghost of the bride, and the Headless Conductor. The boys were a little afraid until they saw these guys come up to their seat, then they realized they were just 14 year olds dressed up, Caiden even said, "those aren't real, those are costumes!" Avery just sat in her seat the whole time, not saying a word. It was soooo cute!

I am so excited to be able to add this to our Halloween traditions. The Heber Creeper was Awesome and we can't wait for the Polar Express at Christmas! ALL ABOARD!!

That sounds like so much fun, I bet the kids loved it! There's a Polar Express ride an hour or two from here at Christmas time also but from what I hear you have to reserve tickets like a year ahead of time so we probably won't be able to do it.
What a great, spooky Halloween activity!
