enough is enough!!!

Dear Snow Storms,

I appreciate the show you have put on this year. You have proven everyone wrong when they said that we just don't get the snow like we used to. You have really out-done yourself this year, but now I think you are showing off a bit, and really, . . .no one likes a show off.

Like this weekend, did we really need another foot of snow, on top of the foot you gave us two days earlier, on top of the foot from the day before? I really don't see that to be neccessary. I also think it's a bit much to have to shovel the walks more than once a day.
See, this is what I mean by saying you are starting to be a bit of a "show off." And don't try to tell me I am exagerating, because you and I both know that I am not. In fact, when Jason went to drive the Audi yesterday there was THREE feet of snow on it!! That's just from one week since we drove it last. And yes, I have proof, I took picctures. Now I know, the last couple winters you didn't do much, so you are trying to prove that you still have it in you, but I feel you have made that point, you don't need to over do it.
Sometimes less is more.

I have two reasons for writing you this letter.
One, we are supposed to be getting another massive storm tomorrow, and I really don't think we will need it. We have enough snow. The skiiers are happy, the kids got to make a few snowmen and go sledding, we will have plenty of water this year, I think you should take a day off. Maybe a few.
In fact, take the rest of the year off. How about that!?

The second reason, is a little more selfish.
I slipped last night.
Yes, I know, shock of all shocks.
I am hurt, I am embarrassed, and I am not ready to forgive you yet.
It was your fault. You made it snow, and then it iced over.
I was out picking up dinner from Wingers, and I opened the door to get into the car and I started to slip. It seemed like my feet were kicking up trying to catch balance for an eternity. Luckily I was holding on for dear life to the car door for safety. I finally regained control of my feet, took a quick survelience of who saw, and threw the food in the car. I then tried to get in the car again, and slipped, again, but this time I wasn't so lucky, I couldn't regain control of my feet, and I couldn't get a good hold on the door, and I fell, on my butt, and somehow slid underneath my car to about my hips.
Ya, laugh your pretty snow head off, but if it happened to you, you wouldn't think it was that funny!!!
Just so you can get a picture of what had happened in your head I included some props. Now, picture that guy to be me, slipping with food in one hand, and my purse in the other. WHOOOAAAAAAA!!!!!
Now there is my car and picture that guy (me) slipping and sliding underneath and then having to crawl out. Getting all wet, all gross and dirty, embarrassed, ashamed, and hurt!!! I can barely move my shoulder today because I was trying to hold on to the door with all
my might. I'm sore, and frankly, you hurt my feelings snow storm.
So this is my plea.
Lay off a little.
At least until my shoulder heels and I can brave the falls again!!!
Geez!!!

I could just picture the slipping by how well you wrote about it. I'm sure you are so sore. I hope it doesn't last long and you start feeling better soon.
I have heard the snow is pretty crazy right now. My parents live in Riverton and got dumped on this past Sunday. They took pictures and I couldn't believe how much it has been snowing. I would be so done with it too!
Cute post!

You're crackin' me up! You should have asked the snow storm to head down south and show off for your Nevadan neighbors. I wouldn't mind one good storm. Then he could move on somewhere else.

HA HA HA! I'm sorry, but that's hilarious. I read your post earlier but wasn't able to leave a comment. I have been thinking about it all day and picturing you falling in my head over and over and over again. And I gotta tell you, it hasn't gotten old yet, it's still just as funny as when I first read it. I am very sorry that you got hurt, but the visual is just hysterical. It's a good thing you only slid underneath your car to your hips because your car is not that high off the ground (as we can see in the picture) and you may have done some damage to your face. I love the picture of the guy falling, it brings me great joy (I know, I'm sick in the head). I may print it out, blow it up and hang it on my wall to look at whenever I'm feeling down.
I'm with Jen, I'd like to see a good snow storm, especially if it meant people would be falling all over the place.
Well, I better go, it's hard to type when I'm laughing so hard.
Have a good day, and you be careful out there ya hear!

Dear clutzy Heather,
Please, please, PLEASE stay away from anything even remotely resembling ice or hard snow for the next couple of months. None of us need a post about how you broke your elbow keeping your child from falling, or bruised your back trying to keep yourself up on your two feet, or a post about getting run over by another truck while trying to keep your daughter from going under. Yes, we know how your two little feet work...........while, yes they are gorgeous feet in stilettos, we would like to keep them that way for as long as possible. As I'm sure your whole family would agree with me.
So, please, in the name of all things good..........stay INSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love, your bestest and honest friend,
Jamie

Hollie and Mom,
I am glad I could cheer you up and leave you with such a wonderful picture in your head!

Jamie,
I wasn't wearing heels!! I know, can you believe it! I was wearing my uggs, but in this case I feel that my heels would have been better, cuz then I could use the heel and stick it in the ice, like an ice pick.

And to everyone else, my shoulder is feeling better today. I took a lot of hot baths yesterday!!! And it heeled just in time, because we woke up to more snow this morning,

here comes the falls!!!!

ohmygosh, you are so funny! And it's the best because I felt like I was there in person watching you. Not that I would laugh at you when you fall. Your description was just too good.

Jared wanted me to let you know that he would like to see the pictures of the Audi covered in snow. Also, I want you to make your Isaac banner into a Valentine's wreath for me so I can hang it on my front door, I think that would be AWESOME!

Heather you are so funny and creative and talented. Jason totally is a lucky man to have you! I tell Jessie how there is so much I want to learn from you. I want to get more into photography. Maybe you can give me some pointers on how to get started.
As far as the snow goes, oh my I am so so so over it. Each day I wake up ready for it to be over and sure enough another snow storm comes blowing through. Game Over!
