An afternoon with Avery

On Monday and Wednesday afternoons, it's just me and Avery. We drop
Caiden off at Pre-K, and for the next two and half hours it's just the girls.

We would usually go home, and I would put Avery down for her nap. Then I would
have my only "me" time. I loved it. I could catch up on cleaning, play on the
computer, call a friend, . . . . whatever my little heart desired.

But lately, she won't take a nap. It really bothered me at first because I
need my "me" time. So I would resort to just running errands or come home
and put on a movie and set her in front of the T.V. and pretend I still had my
"me" time. (Don't you judge me.)

I decided not to do that today. I have come to grips that I don't get that "me"
time anymore, instead I get "Avery and me" time. I want to embrace and enjoy
this time, she is my only girl, she is most likely our last, and they grow up so fast.

So yesterday afternoon we dropped off Caiden, and then headed out for lunch,
just the two of us. Then we checked out a new fabric store we have been eyeing. She
is my favorite shopping child. She loves it, especially stores full of "so cutes!" and this
store had a lot of eye candy for her. We found lots of cute fabric to think about,
. . . . . . . dresses, skirts, baby blankets . . . . .oh such fun stuff we found!
After that we came home and ate the rest of our stash of Girl Scout
Cookies, (Shhhhh!!! The boys don't know it yet!) then we went outside to jump
on the trampoline and blow bubbles.

I really enjoyed our afternoon together. She is a fun gal! And she enjoyed it also!
She kept saying "love you" and grabbing my face and giving me very powerful smoochies!!!

LOVE it! VERY cute pictures! Don't you just love that they started making jelly shoes again! She is such an absolute doll! With Nikki in school, it makes me see even more clearly how quickly they grow up. Kayli only have a limited amount of "us" time left, so I need to take advantage too!

AHHH, SHE IS JUST TOO CUTE FOR WORDS. GOOD FOR YOU, YOUR "GIRL" TIME WILL BECOME SUCH A PRECIOUS MEMORY FOR YOU BOTH. HEY I'M A BIT SAD THOUGH, I KNOW FIRST HAND ABOUT THAT GIRLS POWERFUL SMOOCHIES!!! I MISS MINE AND HER SWEET LITTLE VOICE SAYING "I LOVE YOU".

SHE MAY GIVE BAMA A RUN FOR IT, BUT I LOVE HER WILD AND CRAZY SIDE EVERY BIT AS MUCH AS I LOVE HER SWEET, SNUGGLE AND SMOOCHIE SIDE. SHE IS ADORABLE. I GET SUCH A KICK OUT OF HER.

LOVE YOU AVERY,

Such cute pictures, she's adorable! I'm glad you guys have that time together, how fun. I started cracking up when I read about her "powerful smooches" because I just keep picturing when she attacked mom with them at the mall. =)
