Blissful
Sometimes I wonder how I was lucky enough to be the girl that Jason chose to marry.
He wins me over every day. He fights for me. He fights for us. To make sure we are happy, fed, and taken care of. He always puts me first, sometimes this makes me feel bad. He is too good for me.
He brought me flowers on Thursday.
He gave me the car keys last night at around 6 in the evening. He told me to leave. He would feed the kids. He would get them to bed. He told me to go to Tai Pan, to the mall, anywhere, just leave. I protested for about a minute, but then I raced out the door.
Today he let me sleep in. Then he got the kids dressed and told them that we were going to do what Mom wanted to do today. They threw a fit, and he threatened them, or bribed them, whatever .........it worked!
I wanted to go take pictures, but the sun was getting too high. So Jason suggested that we take a drive up north and scope out places to take pics. I brought my camera, just in case.
We drove up and ate at Maddox. It was SO yummy. Jason remembers it fondly from when he was a kid, and I know why. It was so good, and worth the drive.
The drive was beautiful. A photographers dream. We scoped out orchards, that weren't quite in bloom - we will be back for those!, we saw green pastures, baby cows, old abandoned farms and old trucks. Then we saw it. I got goosebumps! An abandoned gas station. What could be more perfect.
Jason told the boys that if they semi cooperated he would take them to see Iron Man when we got back into town, and he would drop off me and Ava at home to take a nap. I think he is enjoying that he can finally drive again. What a guy!!! ..........maybe he thinks that this is Mother's Day weekend, or maybe he is buttering me up for something? In any case, I sure do appreciate it today!! Thanks Jason for a great Saturday!!! You are the best!!!

.
On this next one, can you PLEASE help a girl out. Yes, they are the same pic, and yes they have the same editing done, but they look different on each of my computers, so tell me which one looks better on your computer, so that I know which way to edit for the computer. Make sense? Good! Thanks!!!!

So, enough about me! How is your Saturday going?

What a nice husband you have. I'm glad you got a night off. I don't know what you are going for with the 2 photos. I personally like the first one because the colors are more vibrant. I love all of the photographs by the way.
Those pictures are so cool! That is so nice of your husband to let you have some time for yourself and to do what you want. I had a little taste of that when I got to go shopping by myself for a couple of hours. Those little breaks are definitely needed.
On my computer the top picture has more vibrant colors and the bottom picture is more muted colors. I like the look on both of them.
What a great day! I always knew Jason was a keeper. Anybody who can put up with you...JUST KIDDING! He's pretty lucky too.
Love the pictures. I seriously gasped when I saw the first one, it's so perfect. I love Blaise's stance.
As far as the bottom two, I see the same thing as everyone else. The top one is more colorful and the bottom one is kind of antique looking which I think goes along well with the gas station motif. I am looking on my desk top though, I'll have to let you know what they look like on my laptop because things always look different on the two. Super cute!
Too cute! I told you last night how much I loved these! Utah is full of fun photographer surprises....YAY for you! Of the last two, I prefer the more vibrant one on the top.
Lucky girl.....tell Jason he is great!
PS I doubt he was buttering you up for anything, or thinking it was Mother's Day weekend......you have been dealing with a lot lately, and he most likely just knew you NEEDED and DESERVED a break!
Very nice photo's! I must say when you told me you took some pictures at a gas station I couldnt picture them, but they turned out really good!
What a guy...definitely a keeper. Sounds like the perfect weekend...a little alone time to go shopping and then some good quality family time to reconnect.
What a fabulous guy you've got there! And those pictures are so beautiful of the children. I am so jealous - I cannot wait to have more someday soon!
I love the first one. The colors are more bold and vibrant! What a lucky lady you are to have such a great hubby!
FIRST, WE ALL ALWAYS KNEW JASON WAS A KEEPER AND A GUY WITH GREAT TASTE, HE IS A SWETTIE!
SECOND, I LOVE THE PICTURES, OF COURSE I LOVE ANYTHING THAT HAS MY GRAND-BABIES IN IT.
TO ANSWER YOUR PHOTO QUESTION, I'M LOOKING AT THESE OFF MY LAPTOP.
THE FIRST ONE, IS BRIGHTER WITH THE COLORS MORE VIVID. THE SECOND IS MORE MUTED. SO IF YOU WANT THE PICTURE TO CONVEY THE CONTRAST BETWEEN THE OLD ABANDONED GAS STATION AND THE MODERN DAY, THEN I SAY THE FIRST ONE DOES THAT BETTER, HOWEVER IF YOU WANT THE WHOLE PICTURE TO BLEND AND LOOK LIKE THE BACK GROUND AS WELL AS THE SUBJECTS ARE ALL FROM A BY-GONE ERA, AND THE PICTURE IS FROM SAY SOMETIME IN THE 1960'S, THEN I SAY THE SECOND ONE CONVEYS THAT BETTER. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE OUT LOUD, BECAUSE IT DOES IN MY HEAD? ANYWAY I LOVE IT BOTH WAYS, BUT PERSONALLY I LIKE THE FIRST ONE BETTER BECAUSE I LIKE THE VIVID CONTRAST OF THE PAST WITH THE PRESENT.
GREAT JOB ON ALL OF THE PHOTO'S HEATHER FEATHER, I LOVE THEM ALL. THANKS FOR SHARING THEM.
HUGS TO YOU ALL,
MOM
Okay, I just looked at these again on my laptop and now I like the top one better. When I looked at it before the top picture looked too bright, Ava was washed out. But on this computer the colors are bold and pretty. I hate that everything looks different depending on what computer I'm using. I usually use my desk top to post blogs, but then when I look at them on the laptop the layout and pictures are different.
WOW, I love that setting so much. It is soooo cool! I can't believe you stumbled on something so awesome. What a great husband!! And the kids look so cute. I'm sure the IRonman bribery helped, that would work with mine, too.
The picture on top looks brighter on my computer.
You are very lucky to have the husband you do...and it is so great that you know it too.
The first pic looks better on my computer.
I'm just finding our site so you are probably already done with these and my opinion is lost in cyberspace forever. :)
