So, Mommy can dance?
One of our favorite shows around here is So, You think you can dance? We all get into it. The kids, Jason, and of course me. It's fun!
We were watching the show on Wednesday and during one of the commercial breaks I got up and started doing some of my "moves."
The boys just looked at me and looked shocked, I say SHOCKED!!!
Then Caiden looked at Blaise and said "where did she learn to do that?"
And Blaise looked at me at the same time and said "where did you learn to do that?"
Jason and I thought it was so funny because dance is a HUGE part of me, but the kids don't know that part of me. I thought they did, I mean after all, I AM a dance teacher, but I teach the younger girls, so I don't get to do a lot of the fun stuff, . . . . . . . the stuff that makes me look good! The kids just see me teach the basics.
It was like they saw me in a new light.
A new "COOL" light.
I was more than "Mom" for a minute.
A minute.
Then it went back to "I want a juice box." "He just hit me!' "Can you help me with my puzzle?"
But, you as my witness, for a SECOND, I WAS cool!
I was!

Of course you were cool! We all already knew that.....you just need to find more ways to show your kids how COOL you truly are!

SCHOOL. YOU HAVE NOT SHARED ALL THOSE HOURS OF VIDEOS WE TOOK OF YOU, WITH YOUR KIDS? THOSE SHOW NOT ONLY HOW TALENTED, COOL AND AWESOME YOU WERE AT DANCE, BUT AT HOW BRILLIANT YOU WERE AT CHOREOGRAPHING THE ROUTINES. COME ON SISTA, WEAR THOSE CAPTAIN WINGS PROUD. WE WERE ALWAYS SO PROUD OF YOUR TALENT, ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU NEVER HAD ANY FORMAL TRAINING. IT'S JUST ALL NATURAL TALENT. =)
