Color Make over, part two.
Okay, so anyone who knows me, knows that I like to change things up in my home, . . . . a lot, and that I have a hard time committing to one thing. I guess you can say I have "commitment issues."
You also know that I HATE spending a lot of money on things. It gives me anxiety to spend more than $20 on one item. I know, I know, LAME, but I am!!!
But the two kind of go hand in hand, since I do change things so often, I hate spending a lot of money on one decoration, because I know in a matter of months I will get a hankering for a different feel.
I do a lot of my decorations as "temporary" fixes. Like I will make slip covers, rather than commit to a pricey reupholster job. I will cover things with paper, rather than buying designed boxes. I buy things that can be "altered" easily with my changing ideas.
So I figured with school starting again soon, I needed to give our "office" a clean/make over.

I went and bought some thick scrapbook paper, and took an afternoon to clean and organize, and VOILLA! Now I have a cute little office.
Most people use the excuse of "I don't have enough money or time to make my home lovely." But I just showed you that, YES YOU DO!!! This was such a cheap and in-expensive project, but it gave this area MAJOR appeal. I just covered some file organizers I already had, I covered some big Paper Clip decorations that were on sale for $2 each. I took a plain old cardboard box and covered it, and I made co-ordinating calenders. I put a border on some $1 buckets for our pen and pencils, and I taped some paper around these vases I already had.
The options are endless when you open up you think outside of the box. There are no rules to making your home fabulous, so just go for it. I've shown you that money and time doesn't have to be an issue. This cute little makeover cost less than $15 and only took an afternoon! So walk around your house today, and think of things you can jazz up!!! I'm already over flowing with ideas of what I can do for the holidays. Maybe a "spooky" office is in my future!?!

WELL, I MUST ADMIT YOU COME BY YOUR LOVE OF CHANGING UP THE HOUSE DECORE FROM ME, I'VE ALWAYS DONE THAT. (SOMETIMES YOUR DAD THINKS HE HAS ENTERED THE WRONG HOUSE)
HOWEVER, THIS IS GETTING A BIT EERIE! YOU AND I ALWAYS SEEM TO BE ON THE SAME WAVE LENGTH. WE HAVE NOT TALKED TO EACH OTHER ABOUT THIS AT ALL, NOTHING, NO HINTS, NOTHING. YET, GUESS WHAT I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF? WELL OF COURSE YOU CAN GUESS BECAUSE WE ARE LIKE ONE MIND, YEP, I TOO STARTED YESTERDAY REDECORATING AND ORGANIZING OUR OFFICE.
I'LL POST PICTURES AS SOON AS I GET IT ALL DONE.
