Instead

So, I was all excited for this week to get some sewing done. After I made my fabulous "pimpkins" I was all jazzed to keep on sewing. You see, I have a love hate relationship with sewing, and right now I'm in love, so I need to take advantage.

I bought this WAY cute fabric, 2 yards of the plaid and a yard of the corduroy, totalling $9. Hmm-mmm that's right! NINE dollars! I want to make Avery a cute little fall dress and jacket.

I also got some fabric to make some Halloween aprons. I say some because I buy 1 yard of the main material, a 1/2 yard of the trim material and that makes me one full apron, a mini-apron (for Ava) and a half apron, or lap apron. I have a few other aprons to finish too.

I'm an apron girl. I wear them any time I clean, bake, do dishes, so pretty much all day, every day! It makes cleaning more "domestic" and not such a chore to me. I have to trick my mind a lot.

So, back to what I was saying. I was all excited to do some sewing this week, but INSTEAD..........

I must clean my house. Like REALLY clean my house. Take out furniture, take everything out of cabinets and drawers, move everything in the closets, because I found a HUGE black widow in my BEDROOM last night. I freaked out. Like FREAKED out!!! F.R.E.A.K.E.D!!!

So I called Jason, and he use to work for a pest control company so he told me that it's baby laying time for black widows, and that is probably why she came out of her hiding place, to lay some eggs. YOU MEAN THERE WILL BE MORE!!!!! UGHHHH!

I already find a wolf spider a day, not too happy about that but I can't tolerate blood thirsty, crazy with anger, murderous spiders on the loose! Not with my babies in the house.

So Jason said we just need to move things around, clean every knick and cranny, and if there are more, which he HIGHLY doubts, but to be honest, I think he's lying to me, but that IF there are anymore we will find them and KILL them. But they will be hiding in corners, and cabinets and our shoe pile in the shoe closet that we don't wear cuz they are "winter" shoes.

I couldn't sleep last night. I just KNEW that there would be a black widow on the loose, Hell bent on revenge, hunting me down because I killed it's brother or something. Or worse, . . . . .It would kill someone I loved because I killed someone he loved!

Okay, maybe I watch to many movies about the Mafia.
But you can't ever underestimate the mind of a spider!

AAAAH! I hate spiders! I have never seen a black widow and hope I never will. I'm so sorry you have to clean instead of sewing. I can't wait to see the cute dress you make.

Cute fabric for an apron. You'll have to post pictures when you're done. I should be finished with my first sewing project (from the sewing class I'm taking) tomorrow, so I'll have to post pictures as well.

I've never really been too afraid of spiders or bugs or snakes UNLESS they have the venom to kill. Therefore, I hate black widows and brown recluses. And to have their evil spawn lurking around the house is totally unacceptable. Kill 'em all!

Very cute fabric......I know you'll make a SUPER cute dress for Ava. You know you'll have to post it when you do get it done. Also, you need to do a post of just your aprons to get us all motivated to make our own!!!!! You are one Domestic DIVA!!!

Cute material! I am freaked out by black widows too. We had one in our bathroom last year. I'm not even sure where it came from our how it got there. I was creeped out for months. I hope your black widow was an only child
