The Haunted Train Ride
We found this fun tradition last year and we've been waiting all year long to do it again.
The Heber Creeper up in Heber Valley does a 40 minute Haunted Train Ride, that is just perfect for the kids.
There is hot chocolate and scary stories, (not too scary, it is for kids!) and a train ride. What could be more fun?
Blaise enjoyed the stories this year, and he even copied his idea for his costume from one of the characters that boarded the train.
Caiden was a little spooked when the train suddenly stopped and all the lights went off, but he remembered from last year, that it was okay, and that the characters were boarding the train right then.
Avery, she was a hoot. Instead of being scared, she was making fun of the spooky characters. She would make fun of how they "danced" their arms to look like ghosts. One of the spooky characters screamed at the kids when she got on board the train, and I thought it would make Ava cry, but she looked at Jason and had a nervous smile, and then looked at the girl and screamed back! It was SOOOOO funny!
I'm so glad that we have this as part of our Fall Festivities. The kids look forward to it, and it's such a fun little family adventure.
ALL ABOARD!!!

:) I love that Avery screamed back! That is too funny.
SORRY THAT WE MISSED IT THIS YEAR, THE KIDS WERE SO DARN CUTE LAST YEAR, AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY DIDN'T DISAPPOINT THIS YEAR EITHER. HOPEFULLY WE CAN MAKE IT NEXT YEAR. AVERY CRACKS ME UP. :0
That's such an awesome idea! I wish we could be there and go with you! Fun Fun
Sounds like so much fun. I'm bummed we couldn't go this year, but I think Urbie is still a bit young. We'll definitely go next year, can't wait!
What a great idea! Sounds like the same thing we're doing with our haunted carriage rides...think I'm going to be a cowgirl zombie!
Love and miss you all!
