So I hear...........

that someday I will miss this..........

Photobucket
I will miss not having enough time to finish Ava's dollhouse that we gave her for Christmas because I am too busy cleaning. I will also miss my living room looking like a playroom with buckets of toys all over the place. And I will miss Ava taping her artwork onto the walls in random places in our home.
Photobucket
I will miss walking into a messy kids room, 5 minutes after we got it cleaned. I'm gonna miss having this conversation too:
Kids- "Mom, can we play outside with our friends?"
Me - "Is your room clean?"
Kids - "ya, we cleaned it."
Me walking in their room to see the above picture and saying "This is NOT clean."
Kids- "yes it is, it's only a little messy. It's just blankets."
Photobucket
I will miss tripping over backpacks, jackets, and shoes that were piled up at the front door after school.
Photobucket
I will miss having my living room floor being a trash can for fruit snacks, kleenex, and gum wrappers.

Why do old people lie?

Okay, maybe I will miss it. At the very least, I would be quite bored!!!

I speaking for all us "OLD LIARS", must say I think we have been mis-quoted.

Ok, you may not MISS the MESS, or the arguments, or the endless cleaning, BUT ....

You will miss those who create the mess, you will miss the noise of laughter and giggles, you will miss having kids in the house leaving things around for you to trip over, you will miss hugs and kisses good-night, MOST of all you will miss precious moments like that last picture.

Trust me on this, I know.

I love this post...
Because right now I too am not missing the fighting with the four old over what is 'clean' and what is not 'clean'. And making the bed...yeah that'll be the day hell freezes over.

*sigh* but my heart did twinge at RC's above comment and your last picture... It's coming all too fast.

That last picture is the sweetest! RC's comment was perfect and I loved how she "fixed" that quote.
