June Catch Up!

WOW!! I can not believe I didn't blog the entire month of June! I have NEVER gone this long without blogging. I think I'm just going to do ONE GIANT post so that I won't forget everything we did in June. So get ready for the LONGEST post in history.

First off, Avery had her Pre-K graduation. I can't believe that she will be in Kinder next year. When did I grow up and have 3 kids in school? She had Miss Vicki this year as her teacher and we LOVE her. Caiden had her too and she is one great lady. For their graduation they went to the park and fed the ducks and then had a picnic, and since she is in morning class they had breakfast in the park.......CEREAL!!! It was so cute. The kids LOVED it!

We hit up a REAL Salt Lake soccer game. We love going to those! We are saving up so that next year we can buy season tickets. I think it's so funny that I used to hate soccer, thought it was so boring, not anymore. I love it! The game was so fun. Of course they won, (they have the longest winning streak at home in the league!) and it is such an exciting place to be. Avery loves dancing with the band, and of course who doesn't like hot dogs and cotton candy!??

Our ward Primary had a summer kick-off party. It was cute, they had a bunch of games for the kids to play and a journal to make and such. The kids jus walked across the street from school to the church and went to it.

I know this video is sideways, but I can't figure out how to do it right side up, so tilt your head a bit. It CRACKS me up! This is Avery trying to hula hoop for the first time. I giggle everytime I watch it!

The last week of school was a play week for the boys. They had their talent shows, both of them entered art work, they had their big water day, both were dunked in the dunk tank a few times! The fourth graders had Western Day, and I taught 100 4th graders how to square dance, again. This time they were much more willing to hold hands. Caiden had two movie days, and they both came home with SUPER report cards. I am so proud of them.

On the last day of school I wanted to do something fun for the boys, so Avery and I ambushed them when they got off the bus for the last time. We were hiding behind the tree with squirt guns and water balloons. They were so surprised and all the kids on the bus then decided to get off at our stop to join in our water war. I had a bunch of baskets with water balloons ready, because I knew they would have to get us back!!!

I must say, if you want to win the "cool mom" award, try this! They were pretty pleased with me!!!

This next picture has a few things I would like to point out.

1.) Caiden looks like a very serious bad guy.

2.) Blaise looks like a whacked out crazy person!!!

3.) Avery's eye lashes are to die for!

4.) I don't like this picture of me, at all!

Moving on..............

Once school got out it was finally summer weather. We went right out and bought a slip and slide and fun sprinklers. The kids are maniacs on the slip and slide. There were a few injuries, luckily nothing serious!!!

Blaise had a soccer tournament in Cedar City, Utah for a week. We were all so excited to go and have a fun family vacation down in St. George,........but,........last minute Jason wasn't going to be able to go because of work. So it was me and the kids. I have NEVER gone on vacation with just the kids and I was really not knowing what to expect. On top of Jason not being able to go, I wasn't going to be able to take my car because we couldn't get it in to fix the AC, so I had to drive Jason's work van. All in all, it worked out and we had a good time.

We went swimming in the pool with some friends staying at the hotel next to ours, we went and saw Prince of Persia with a group of friends, the entire team had a picnic in the park and played boys against parents,.........where I pulled a muscle. We went out to eat lots and watched the first World Cup game in the hotel room.

Ava was throwing up the first night, and Blaise wasn't feeling well the second night, he even missed the opening ceremonies with the big parade and fireworks, but after that he felt great and did very well in the tournament. The boys lost their first game by one point, won their second game 8-0, won the play-off game 3-2. That game was SOOOOOO exciting. Blaise scored the winning goal with like 5 seconds to spare. We all jumped out of our seats and were jumping for joy. With that win they were sent to the Champions game. They played well, they ended up losing that game by 1 point and came home with the Silver Medal! Not bad, not bad! The tournament was kind of bitter sweet for Blaise because it was the last time he was playing with this team. Blaise was chosen to move up a league, so this tournament was his last hoo-rah with this team that he has been with for 2 years. He is excited to be moving up, but we've made a lot of friends on that team too.

GO LA ROCA!!!

Blaise and coach having a quick pow-wow before the championship game. The score was 4-5, Blaise had 2 goals and one assist. Overall, their team had a total of 17 goals in the tournament, (their team scored the most goals in the tournament) Blaise scored 8 of those goals and had 5 assists.

The SILVER medal winners!!!! GO TEAM!!

Before opening ceremonies. Ten minutes later Blaise started throwing up so we had to head back to the hotel. Poor guy!

At the hotel relaxing.

Watching the opening game for WORLD CUP!!!!

The kids slept for 3 of the 5 hours of our trip back home. I was very bored and lonely!!

And here is one of Blaise's goals! It's just the very tail end of the play, and I can barely keep up with him, he's too fast!

All in all, the trip was fabulous. It had it's rough points, and it was a bit stressful without Jason there, but the four of us had fun, and we did it!!! I love my kids!!!

The rest of June was a lot of playing and world cup watching!!! We have had several play dates, trips to the movies, playing outside, soccer practice, cheer clinics, and hanging out.

Jason worked in Oregon the last two weeks of June so we were another party of four. I miss him so so so much when he is gone.

Well, I think that pretty much covers June! Lets start with July!!!!
