Caiden get Baptized

I am so proud of my Care Bear!
He decided to be baptized to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He is such a sweet, caring, helpful boy and I am so incredibly proud of him. I remember a few years ago he said he didn't want to be baptized because he didn't like that the Holy Ghost was called a "ghost." I am so relieved and glad that he has grown since then and learned the importance of having the Holy Ghost with him, and that it's okay he is called a "ghost."
I am so happy that my husband was able to baptize Caiden. What a special blessing. I am so thankful that he is a worthy priesthood holder and that he could perform this most special ordinance.
Caiden was so excited for his special day. He picked out his favorite song to sing, and he picked me to say opening prayer, and then he and the other little boy being baptized were a special part of the talk.
A few days before his baptism he told me he was a little nervous. I asked him why and he was so cute, he almost didn't want to tell me, but then he shyly said, "because, what if I drown?" I assured him there was no way he would drown. Then he said, "but what if while I'm under water and Dad is saying what he needs to say, he starts to cry, because Daddy always cries about church stuff, and what if I'm under too long?"
I tried SO hard not to laugh. He is right, Jason ALWAYS cries when it comes to church stuff, so it could happen. But I told Caiden that Daddy does all the talking before he dunks him, so it would just be a quick dunk!s
That made him happy, and he went back to being purely excited about his big day!
After the baptism everyone came back over here for a dinner and celebration. I didn't get a picture of Caiden and Hollie and her family, but I'm grateful that they could come and be a part of his big day. It made him feel so special that Bama and Bapa was there too.
I am so so so grateful that our family can be an eternal family. I feel like as a family we are understanding more fully what that means, and I am so proud that Caiden took the first step in doing that.
This is my new favorite family photo. I love us.
