Fun times.
Wednesday we were supposed to have a play-date over here............remember the lawn mower fiasco? Well we decided to take the kids to the water park instead. It was a lot more fun than my house would have been! We were there ALL day. The kids had a blast, I had a blast. Blaise was so brave and went down the huge water slide, Caiden was a cutie pie and just stayed by me most the day, and Ava............she almost drowned...............seriously!!!
In my defense she was in the care of the other Mommy. Next time I won't do that. Most people under estimate her. They think she will stop when you call her, they think she will look back to see if you are following after she ran away, they would never think she would run and JUMP into the 6ft pool. It was scary. But apparently the little stinker had it all planned.
I was in line with Blaise at the slide, and I had Caiden with me, so my friend said she would keep an eye on Ava. Well, I was a good 50 or so feet away and I look over and I see Ava running away from the group, I see my friend casually chasing her, but Ava doesn't' hesitate. I keep waiting for my friend to take it more seriously and she didn't, and I KNOW my daughter, this was serious. So I tell the boys to wait there and I start running, RUNNING to try to catch her. My friend saw me running, so she started running, which caused Ava to start
running. She was like a little jailbird, she saw an opportunity and took it! When she realized her little "freedom run" was coming to an end she decided it was all or nothing time. She let out a huge giggle and jumped into the nearest pool, which happened to be the deep one. My friend jumped in after, the life guard swam over and I jumped in after. We all got her to the surface and to the edge of the pool and we were asking if she was okay and she throws her hands in the air and yells "YEE HA!!!!" Yee ha! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! That girl will be the end of me!
In this picture Ava is wearing a life vest, but we took it off after about 2 hours because she kept tipping forward, and with the vest on she couldn't get back up, so she would just be floating, face down in the water. Luckily I was always there to get her right back up. And again, she thought it was fun!
On Thursday, the kids and I drove down to Lehi for Rodeo days. One of my dearest friends from Vegas, Karlee Divich, was in Lehi visiting her Mom, so we decided to get together. I was so glad we did. I haven't seen her in over a year, and although I do all of her baby announcements and holiday cards, I haven't actually seen her newest daughter in person. We had so much fun. We went to the museum, we got to explore Tee-pees, make dream catchers, go on a tractor ride, visit the petting zoo, (which consisted of a pig! One lone pig!) we dug for gold, just all in all we had "pure pioneer fun" as the kids said. The whole day was perfect EXCEPT, I realized AFTER I drove all the way down there that I forgot to put my memory card back in my camera! UGHHHH! Luckily Karlee took a few pics, so I will have to post those when I get copies.

That is so scary about Ava! It sounds like she has no fear. You do so many fun things with your kids! What a great mom!
What a fun place! It looks almost JUST like mine. I'm glad you found one close to you. That is so scary about Ava! I would have been freaking out!
Oh my goodness, that little stinker! I know from experience that she does not so much as look back if she hears you calling her and she bolts if you start to chase her. What a dare devil! Sounds like a fun day though overall. We've been taking Addison swimming a lot too and she's kind of the same. She has NO FEAR of the water, which is good but scary at the same time. The pioneer thing sounds fun. Kind of silly that the petting zoo only consists of a pig. Oh well, I'm sure the kids had a blast.
BLAISE THE BRAVE HEART, CAIDEN THE TENDER HEART, & AVERY - NO FEAR!!!!
