This is for you Mom!!!

I had totally forgot about our version of "Addicted to Love." HA HA!!! I found this picture of me and Sommer for you dressed in the famous "Palmer Girls" attire! And while I was rifling through my Freshman Scrapbook, I realized that I had forgotten a lot of those memories. I am so thankful for you Mom, and for your dedication to us children. You ALWAYS put us first. You were even the one that made that scrapbook for me. You were so important and vital to my dance career. Thank you! Those are some of my best memories, and favorite times, and it's all because of you.

I remember when I first started High School I was so nervous, I felt so small, well, I was, literally small, but I felt non-important too. I heard about the Dance Team try-outs, and I was too scared to try-out. You convinced me that even though I didn't have formal training I was good enough. I am so glad that you encouraged me to try out. I love dance, and I love those memories. I loved the drill team, I loved marching in the parades. I loved performing at the San Diego Padre's opening and dancing at a Laker's halftime show. I loved it when Coach Debbie asked me to teach at her Dance Studio because I was good. I loved going to the Competitions at Sea World, and going to Dance Camp every summer. I loved performing the Football halftime routines, and I loved the Slumber Parties you hosted for the team. I loved that you were at EVERY practice, competition, parade, and performance. You weren't just my Mom and supporter, but you were the Team Mom and supporter. We all loved and needed you. You made our costumes that first year at Fallbrook, remember the yellow banana's? And you helped me to choreograph my routine for Captain try-outs. Thank you for the memories. And this was all just at FUHS!

I remember when we moved to Oregon and I saw THEIR dance team. I just knew that they were so way out of my league. They were State champs, had professional dancers, and EVERY single girl on the team had been training for that team since they were four. I wasn't going to try-out, but once again, you encouraged me. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! My Junior and Senior Years are cherished times. I look back on High School with great fondness, and it's because of the Team. I tried out, and made it. We won every competition that year. I practiced 4 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long. It was hard, it was tough, but WE (you and I) did it. I remember when I was voted Captain my Senior Year how scared I was, I didn't want to let the team down. But you gave me one of your famous pep talks (actually MANY) and they always seem to make me feel so much better. Choreographing and winning our State Dance Competition is one of my greatest accomplishments. None of it would have been possible if it weren't for you. Thank you.

Okay, so this started all because of a song, "Addicted to Love" so I will end it with another song.
Did you ever know that you're my Hero? (I don't think I ever did a lip-sync to this one!?)

I love ya, Mom!

That picture is hilarious, how funny! How is it that you look the exact same almost 15 years later? Just not fair. I loved your post, it brought tears to my eyes. We are very lucky, after all we do have the best mom in the whole wide world!!!
