Back to School!
He did it.
He is a big second grader now!
He was so anxious this morning.
I think part of his "excited-ness"
was that he was finally going to be
able to wear his new shoes and his
new back-pack!
I walked him to school this morning
and he was in such a hurry he was always
a good 10-15 feet in front of me as we walked
on the trail to school.
Once we got to school he asked me not to take
anymore pictures. How Rude! The school
was opened to the parents for the first half hour. I thought that was very thoughtful for all of the Mommies. I walked him in his class, he found his desk, met his teacher, found his locker, and then he gave me a half hearted hug, basically telling me that he didn't need me to stay anymore.
Again....How Rude!!
Actually, I am glad that I have raised him to where he still wanted me there, just long enough to know what was going on, then he felt comfortable with doing it on his own. It just makes me sad at the same time that this time is already here. They REALLY do grow up TOO fast!!!
When I picked him up from school, he was all smiles. He gave me a hug and said "Second grade is way better than First grade!" What a cutie.
When Jason called him to see how is day was I over heard Blaise tell him about his recess experience. He said he met one friend, but she was a girl. They ate lunch together and then played on the monkey bars. He said that he would try to make a "boy-friend" tomorrow, but he liked his friend he made today too.
My little Ladie's Man.
