Way Back Wednesday!

This Way Back goes to my darling little Avery Adessa. She turns 2 this Friday, August the 3rd.

I can't believe my baby is already 2. Time sure does fly when you are having fun. And she is a ball of fun. I remember my pregnancy with her and her birth like it was yesterday. I guess it's one of those things that a mother will NEVER forget. I was so sick being pregnant, just like I was with the boys, on bed rest, trips to the hospital, lots of Fetal non-stress tests, labor for 3 days, ..........I don't really enjoy being pregnant, but there is something about knowing that you are growing a perfect precious person, that makes it all worth the while. I was finally having my girl. Which meant the world to me! And I knew she was going to be our last, so I really tried to embrace each preggo day.

She was such a cutie too! And she was so little, not our littlest, but something about her made her seem so small and dainty. She was bald, like the boys, but her eyes were blue!!! She was really a good baby. She had pretty severe colic for about 2 months, but once she got over that, she was smooth sailing. She slept good, ate good, was good when we left the house. She was a dream baby.

Her first year was fabulous. She did everything with such spunk and enthusiasm. She surprised us all when she was walking a week before she was 8 months old. It was all over then. That is when she let us know her "wild child" personality. She is little Miss Independent to the ninth degree. But that is one of the things I love about her. She knows what she wants, when she wants it, and figures out a way to get it. She is our little ball of fire.

Of course I went all out on her nursery, my first "non-blue" one! And for her first birthday party, I pulled out all the stops. I did one of my very first photo shoots with her, and hung up 12x12 pics all over the house. Everything was pink, the food was pink, LOTS of it. It was the perfect little girl party.

I love you Avery! You bring so much joy and happiness into our lives. We are so excited for you to turn 2, even though it means you aren't a baby anymore. And no matter how old you turn, you will always be "BABY!"
