The Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the
Pumpkin Patch!
We found the cutest farm up here
Black Island Farms
and it was real down home fun!

They had tours of the farm,
big giant slides,
a bouncing pumpkin,
hay rides,
tractor rides,
corn mazes,
yummy treats,
and more!

Blaise loved the slide the most.
Avery loved the Tractor pull the most.
Caiden loved ALL of it, except the corn maze.

It was too funny. He was pretty sure we
were going to be lost in there forever.
He kept saying, "it's getting dark, we have to get out of here."
and "I know the way out, just turn around and go the same way we came."
and "why is this even here. This isn't fun!"
He was SO excited when we found our way out.
He wasn't sure of the whole corn maze thing.

After the Pumpkin Patch we took the kids out to dinner.
It was nice to have some time as a family.
I {heart} my family!
And going on adventures like this always
centers me, and helps me to remember what's most important.
Nothing is more important than family,
the time and energy we put into
making our home a loving, happy place
should always be our top priority.
What else matters? What else could possibly be more important?
Doing things like this make me realize this all over again.

SOOOO cute! I'm so glad we finally found a REAL pumpkin patch too! Life isn't the same without having these around! Caiden is too funny...has he seen the "Shining" or something? That'll freak you out somethin' fierce! How fun for you guys! Glad you finally made it!

What a fun family day! That pumpkin patch looks awesome. It looks a lot like the one we went to last year which I absolutely loved. I wish we could've gone back this year but funds are a little low, plus Addi got her flu shot right before we headed out to the pumpking patch so we just went to one somewhat close by in case she started to not feel well. I LOVE the pictures of the kids on the slide, too cute! I'm so glad you guys made it out of the corn maze okay, phew what a relief! =)

What a fun pumpkin patch! That is so cute about Caiden and the corn maze. My son would probably have the same reaction. Loved the pictures. It looks like Fall there, I wish it was feeling like fall here.

I AGREE WITH JESS, I DON'T KNOW HER OR WHERE SHE IS FROM BUT I KNOW HOW SHE IS FEELING, YESTERDAY AS I WAS WORKING ON SOME OF MY FINAL EXTERIOR TOUCHES FOR MY HALLOWEEN DECORE, IT WAS 92 HERE, 92 THAT IS INSANE, IT'S ALMOST NOVEMBER ALREADY, CRAZY! THE ONLY LEAVES WE HAVE IN OUR YARD ARE DEAD ONES THAT FELL OFF OUR EUCALYPTUS TREES, BECAUSE IT'S TOO HOT, NOW HOW SAD IS THAT.

IT LOOKS LIKE A TON OF FUN, WE MISS THOSE DAYS. WE LOVE HOLIDAY FAMILY OUTINGS, IT KIND OF REMINDS US OF WHEN WE USED TO TAKE YOU KIDS TO BATES NUT FARM IN VALLEY CENTER, THAT WAS ALWAYS A TON OF FUN. ALWAYS WANTED TO OWN A PLACE LIKE THAT???
AS USUAL CAIDEN JUST CRACKS US UP, THE THINGS THAT KID SAYS AND COMES UP WITH, HE REMINDS US A LOT OF NICK WHEN HE WAS YOUNG. DID NOTICE YOU MANAGED TO GET SHOES AND A SWEATER ON HIM THOUGH! TREASURE THESE FAMILY TIMES, WE DO. WISH WE WERE THERE TO ENJOY IT WITH YOU.
LOVE YOU GUYS,
MOM & DAD
