Christmas weekend
We had a great 4 day Christmas weekend.
We shopped, we played in the snow.
We baked. We ate.
We went to Christmas village.
We watched LOTS of movies.
Our good friends in the ward invited us to spend Christmas Eve with them and their extended family. It was such a nice gesture. It was great to be able to spend the evening with a family, even though it wasn't ours. We ate, we sang songs by the piano, we played the bells, and had a gift exchange. It was a good evening.
We took the kids to see The Chipmunk movie. Laughed a lot!!
We had a quiet Christmas morning here at home.
We woke up to a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!! It snowed all night Christmas
Eve. It was beautiful to wake up to so much snow.
The kids woke up at 5:30!!! But we were able to somehow keep them in bed
with us and cuddle and watch The Santa Claus 3 until 7.
The kids love Santa.
He brought skateboards and a MODDED X BOX!! (both boys SCREAMED with delight when they saw that thing. Way to go Santa! Hundreds and hundreds of games and movies burned into the x-box. What more could a little boy ask for? Jason was pretty excited about it too.!!!
Avery was in Heaven with her dress up gear, her Build a Bear Kitty that the boys made for her and her shopping cart.
I don't know how we did it, but we STILL managed to go overboard this year. Not as much as years past though, so we are improving!
Then we ate, and played with toys, took naps, and woke up and ate again.
All in all it was a great Christmas.
Different than what we are used to, but still good.
I was so upset about not being able to spend the weekend with family, I just knew that Christmas wouldn't be the same. And it wasn't, but it was still good. Now I know that if something comes up in the future, we can have a nice little Christmas on our own.
I am just hoping that nothing else comes up in the future!
Now Christmas is over, and we are trying to find homes for all of our new loot.
Cleaning the mess. Taking down the decorations. And trying to get better.
This is what Caiden did all day yesterday!!!
Yep, he is sick too. So is Avery, but for some reason that girl has bionic power, and when she is sick she won't rest like a normal human child would, she just runs around the house, taking off her diaper, yelling and screaming one minute, on the floor crying the next.
I hope they feel better soon.
Hope eveyone else had a great Christmas too. We love and missed ya all!!!!
Now lets get ready for a new year!!!
What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

Sounds like a great Christmas! I love Christmas Village, it was so fun when we all went together last year. I'm glad the kiddos were so excited about their presents. Addison got a boa too, but we couldn't get her to put it on, Jared wore it though. =) Hope you all feel better soon.
SO GLAD YOU HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS.
HOPE EVERYONE FEELS BETTER SOON.
Looks and sounds like a great Christmas! Glad you guys had a great holiday.
Thats cool that you guys had a white christmas. I was hoping we had one their last year. I missed out on my chance this year. I was down in Sacramento and here they were getting a little bit of snow on christmas morning. It was well worth it to be down with Tori though. Glad you guys had a good time too :)
