I must confess . . .
I have a problem.
A big problem. . . .
I am turning into a big lazy bump on a log!
The whole family has.
We are all sleeping in, taking naps, staying in our jammies until WELL into the afternoon.
I haven't left the house since Monday.
All I want to do is sit and watch movies with the kids, or play on the computer.
I haven't even really cooked since Christmas.
We have been living off leftovers, and last night we made pancakes for dinner.
Today when Jason left for work, I felt so betrayed!
Why was he getting out of bed before 8!!??
Why was he getting dressed!!??
Why was he leaving our little compound!!??
The kids felt the sting of daddy's actions too.
"Dad is selling out to the man!" was the look on their face.
They asked "why are you up, dressed, leaving?"
Jason acted like WE were the crazy ones!
He told us it was normal to get up and dressed.
That he had to go to work. He had things to do.
He even said that WE had things to do and it was time to "get back to it!"
Pshah!!!
I guess he is right. It is time to get back to it!
But why did he pick today to get back to it?!?
Last night he kept me up until 1 o'clock . . . . .
we were playing with the Modded X Box.
I told you . . . I have problems.
What grown adults put their kids to bed so they can play with their Christmas toys?
I couldn't stop. I thought "ya, sure I'll play for an hour."
We played for almost 4 hours.
FOUR HOURS!!!
What's wrong with me!??
I'm going to go get dressed now.
Now that I have made my confession public, I feel a bit ashamed of myself.
I must change my behavior!

I was exactly the same way on Wednesday and Thursday. It was so nice to stay in our pjs and laze around. My house is a mess, but I haven't really cared until today. Sometimes you just need a few days of relaxing and staying in your pjs. I don't think it is anything to be ashamed of. :)
You're so funny! You probably really needed this though, usually you're so busy running all over the place. I've felt this way ever since Urban was born. Half the time I don't get in the shower until noon, and sometimes I don't even take one (which is unheard of for me). I figure he's almost 3 months old, it's time to get back into a routine. Here's to hoping!
lol you crack me up! How dare Jason keep you up to the late hour of 10...your getting so old :P. Dont feel too bad though, since I dont go to work till noon I too sleep most the morning away lol.
lol yeah at 10 Nick and I haven't even had dinner yet...but that aside I actually looked at Nick the other day and said "I'm going to quit being such a slob." He was a bit confused, but since I haven't been working my PJs have been my best friend...and my other clothes are lucky if they see the light of day. I've been doing better though...there's only been a couple lazy days since that! =)
Nick,
Oh, it was PASSED my 10 o'clock bedtime. It was ONE o'clock, in the morning. I haven't been up that late in ages. I am getting old!!!
oh I feel sheepish. I thought it said he kept you up till 10...well I guess I will give you some credit, I can barely stay up past 1 any more.
LAZY DAYS ARE THE BEST, YOU DON'T GET THEM TOO OFTEN SO TAKE THEM WHEN YOU CAN. :)
WELL, LOOK AT IT THIS WAY, IT WAS A FUN & CHEAP "DATE" NIGHT FOR YOU AND JASON, AND IT WAS GOOD PRACTICE FOR YOU TO STAY UP PAST 10:00 P.M. FOR NEW YEARS EVE. NOW YOU KNOW YOU WON'T TURN INTO A PUMKIN.
YOU'RE SO FUNNY!!!
Hi Heather! It's Robin...Nate's wife. Just wanted to let you know that I found you in the Blogosphere. Thanks again for dinner. Have a good rest of the week.
