Finding our groove.

Life is a balance.

Life with kids is a teeter-totter. One wrong move and someone flies off!!

Since I've been single-mommin' it lately, I have realized what a balancing act it is trying to keep everyone, including me, happy. With the medication I am on it causes me to not be able to sleep, and to be honest, ..... not so patient! So by like 4 in the afternoon I am exhausted, and that is crunch time.

That is when everyone wants snacks, help with homework, this, that, this AND that, and it's been really difficult for me to do and be everything and be excited about it.

So I had to come up with a plan to keep us happy until Jason's work gets a bit more manageable and he can be around more again.

SPA TIME!!

Now the kids and I eat dinner, and then they help me clean up, and then we go sit in the jacuzzi. I lowered the heat so it wouldn't be too hot for them and it's been great. It gives me a half hour to relax and not have to do a million different things at once, and it makes them feel like they are DOING something. We've enjoyed our nights out there laughing, and talking. I love it because the boys tell me more about their day out there than their usual, "good" when I ask after school. Yesterday they both informed me that they have groupies. My little Ladies Men!!!

When I took these pictures there was a big storm coming in. It was so awesome to see the clouds rolling in and it was SUPER windy, so the kids LOVED it. We were doing a lightning watch, and luckily we never saw any, or that would have cut our time short.

After we have our spa time, we go in, get in our jammies, have dessert and cuddle up to watch a Suite Life or Wizards of Waverly Place, then read our books and go to sleep. I love our new ritual. Although we would all rather have Daddy home to entertain us, this has been working out just fine.

LOVE HOW YOU ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO WORK THINGS OUT THE BEST YOU CAN, GOOD FOR YOU. MAYBE I CAN BE OF SOME COMFORT AND HELP WHEN I AM UP THERE. HANG IN THERE.
LOVE YA,
