Day 9

Does anything scream out "it's Christmas time!" more than sugar cookies?

I think not!

Last night for FHE (Family Home Evening) we made, cut out, decorated, and devoured some Christmas Sugar Cookies.

If you haven't made a batch yet, make some this week. The kids love it, and it's a great way to spend time together and make a mess!!! Yes-sir-e-bob!

Avery decided a cookie just wasn't a cookie unless it had EVERY variety of sprinkles on it.

Caiden got caught!! This was his third cookie!
Blaise caught Mommy with frosting on her nose!

Every year I DREAM of making fabulous looking cookies. And every year it turns into a big free for-for-all with frosting and sprinkles EVERYWHERE! One day, my cookies WILL look like these. I found all these on flickr. They have a few Christmas Cookie groups, there isn't recipes, but a TON of eye candy! Here's a few!

I don't know why the pics are so small. I have a few more ideas, but blogger won't let me load them. O'well, I guess I'll just go eat another Christmas Cookie!

Yummmmmmmmmm.......Nikki loves our sugar cookies so much, that's what she wants for her classroom birthday treat, instead of cupcakes. I always start baking my cookies in the fall.......it gets me in a festive mood every time!

Oh, we did cookies last night. My little one used three containers of sprinkles last night, too!
