Alvin, Simon, A-ver-ee!
Doesn't she look like she could join the chipmunks!!!
Yesterday, Avery had her out patient work done on her mouth. Her and Caiden have very soft teeth. I was afraid the dentist would get on me, and think I don't brush their teeth. No,...........he said that wasn't the cause,it is more like a birth defect he said. He said most likely the reason they have these soft teeth is because of how sick I was when I was pregnant.
So it was still my fault!
It's always the mother's fault!
She did really well with it. I don't really like it because they take her into another room and I can't be in there with her. And then they put her under, and that scares me a bit. But she did great. The doctors wanted to take her home with them. She is kinda cute!!!
When she was coming out of sedation she was like a wild animal. She started swinging her arms around and started clawing at the dentist's face. Then she saw me and LEAPED into my arms. The doctors talked to her for a bit and then she told them bye and she loved them, and she was going to go home and play with her friends. AWWWW, baby all doped up is sweet.
Not for long.
I got her in the car, and when we did this with Caiden a few months ago, he was out for the count the entire rest of the day. He just wanted to stay calm, and relax and sleep. He never said it hurt, or complained about it. (I should have known though, when he fell 2 stories from our balcany 2 years ago and got all broke up, he never complained, not once. You would have never known all the damage he did.) So I was expecting the same from Ava, I thought she would still be calm and groggy from the anestesia. I should have known better.
I get her in the car, and she starts acting like a wild monkey again. She is screaming that she wants to play. I tried to calm her down, but that made her crazier. So I start driving home. She conks out. PHEW!!!
"My tongue is GONE!!! My tongue is GONE!!!" she screams all the sudden.
I try to get to where I can pull over and help her calm down again, but as fast as she woke up, she fell back to sleep.
The rest of the drive was pretty un-eventful.
We get home and the hubster carries her in and she is yelling at him to let her walk. He tries to explain that her body isn't working yet, but she is three, she doesn't get it, or care!
We get her in my bed, and turn on the t.v., thinking she will calm down and eventually fall back to sleep. The doctor said that for 2 hours she wasn't going to be really awake, that even if she seemed up, she really wasn't.
It took us an hour to calm her down to get her to sleep. Every time she would close her eyes she would start SCREAMING, "My eyes can't shut!!! My eyes can't SHUT!!!" This girl was trying to fight the medicine and stay up. Everytime I would check on her she would yell at me to "GO!!!" and when the boys would go to check on their sweet baby sister she would yell "go, you are SO mean!"
Finally we got her calmed down and out of crazy town and she slept for 2 good hours.
When she woke up at around 8 she was screaming. She was scared and confused and it was dark in my room. I went in there and scooped her up and she gave me a HUGE hug and said "I'm ALIVE!" it was so cute.
I carried her out to the living room and she looked at the hubster and said "Daddy, I'm alive." We all cuddled her, and loved her and liked her again because she wasn't acting all crazy and possessed anymore.
She asked for some water (she couldn't eat or drink since noon, so she could have her surgery.) and she guzzled it down. Then she asked for some mac-n-cheese. She took a few bites, threw up, and then ate the rest. I sat with her for about an hour, then she fell asleep again.
She woke up this morning all bright eyed and bushy tailed, making sure we all knew she was "all better!"
She looks like a chipmunk, and she will for a few days, but she is ALL BETTER!!!
