Gone Fishin'
Life is good! Do you ever have those days when you just feel like a big ball of sunshine? We went fishing on Sunday after church, and even though a big ole' storm was coming in, the sun was shining on me.
I love those days when we decide to just be a family. When we don't need to do much to be content. When we can just pack up a yummy picnic, grab a few books and head out the door. When we just get outside and enjoy a beautiful day together. When we can just be ourselves. When we can just BE!
We were at the ponds for like 6 hours. Bapa (my Dad) caught the first fish of the day, and it was the only keeper. Then Caiden caught his FIRST fish, he was SO SO SO excited! Like a minute later Ava reeled in one. She did it all by herself too. We just thought she caught some weeds, but there was a fish in there too! The tally at the end was:
Ava-3
Blaise-3
Caiden - 2
Bapa -2
We fished, we told stories, we took hikes, we ate, we cuddled, and Ava even took a little cat nap. We fished right up until the rain started pouring down, and it was wierd because instead of screaming and running for the hills, we all stood there, with our hands out looking up to the clouds. It was seriously such an awesome moment. We need to have more family fishing days. It's such a nice way to get away from "life" for a bit! It's such a nice way to remember to be grateful.
The "spot!"

I L O V E that Miss Ava was able to catch a little fish with her little pink and purple fishing pole, she is just too cute, and she's not afraid of the worms, that's my girl!
High Five to all my Boy's, great catch!
How nice are those pictures. As we get older I think we learn to enjoy "those" moments...they are precious and few and far between! My love to all you guys. I miss you all lots!
Too cute for words! Love those precious moments in life, and it's even funner to get great shots to remember them by! Totally jealous of your fish "pond"!
