Ya, it's cute but.............
So we have been in this new home for about 2 months now, and I STILL haven't got it all put together yet. Life got in the way.
My Mom has been up the last week and I decided I was just going to go for Ava's room. I had it all planned in my head, and my Mom and I had some GREAT ideas. I wanted to do it black and white, with BRIGHT color punches with birds and owls. Cute huh?
Ya, but I forgot, I was decorating AVA'S room, and she has a style ALL her own. I took her to the fabric store to buy the fabric and she kept saying, "ya, it's cute but,.............I like purple." So I told her her room would have purple, and pink, and green, and yellow.
No, she wanted JUST purple.
DARK PURPLE, light purple, pinky purple, PURPLE
with birds,
cats,
owls,
stars,
butterflies,
and circles.
That should be easy................?????
I tried to convince her my way was better.
Ava wasn't having it. She wanted purple, and birds, and cats, and owls, and birds, and stars, and butterflies, and circles.
Whatever.
So I caved, after all it IS her room, and let her pick out her fabric. It's very..........sophisticated.
So that is what I've been doing the last week. Trying to make all her design wishes come true with some integrity.
And all for $100 or less. It has been SO FUN!!!
I can't wait to show you all what I did and how I did it, and what I spent. I am going to do it for everyroom in my house. It forces me to get creative, to think outside of the box and to shop my house.
I still have some things to do to her room, but here is a little sneak peak, cuz I know y'all would be mad if I didn't leave ONE picture!!
I made three different animals to hang on her wall, her owl, her bird, and her cat with scrapbook paper I already had, very budget friendly!

I have had so much fun up here with all my kiddo's, I don't want to ever leave (I think the boys and I are on to something with converting your back yard shed to my hideout house) Thanks for letting me help out with some of the design ideas for Ava's room, she is TOO CUTE! I love it, it is going to be so awesome and so her.

Hey at least she doesn't like a hot pink leoperd print bed set...We had to convence Tori there was cooler ones than that at Ross when we did her room

That owl is the cutest thing ever! I love it. Ava is one lucky little girl. She has good taste too.
I think that owl is adorable! And, it totally isn't all purple.
