I gotta feeling,.. . . . . . .
Where did November go?
I mean seriously, it just disappered!
I gotta feeling that December is going to do the same thing! I LOVE December, I love all that goes with this Christmas time, but it does seem to go by too fast, and it feels like I never get to FULLY enjoy this most wonderful time of year.
To help in beating those "Holiday Blues" I made my annual Christmas planner. I love these things. I can keep all my lists, ideas, plans, and journal what we did in December, and then I keep each planner for the next year. It's fun to go back and look through them, and they help to keep me on track for this year!

Also, every year I want to have each and every room decorated, and every year I don't get to it. Either my house is too big and I don't have enough decorations to decorate the whole house and not enough money to go buy things for 4 extra rooms, or my house is just right, but I run out of time or energy to get to the whole house.
THIS year I am doing it. We started the night before Thanksgiving with the kids room. They were so excited to FINALLY have their own tree in their rooms! This year we have 4 Christmas trees up and decorated. One in the boys room, one in Ava's, one in the family room, and one in the playroom. I have some holiday touches in the bathrooms, the halls, some snowflake decorations in the Master, a christmas village in the dining room and office, and some garland in the kitchen! It really adds to the festivities. They got to decorate their own trees too. We got some "boy" stuff for the boys and I got purple and white doves for Ava's, so they match their rooms!

I also like to play Christmas music all day long, and have Christmas tree plug-ins all over the house. Anything to help make us feel and enjoy the season, and not let it rush on past us!
SO, what do you do to help get that holiday feeling?

Love your Christmas journal, you have motivated me to get one started.
Thank you for being such a great example of how to enjoy this wonderful time of year to the fullest, one of the many things I love about you.
How fun that the kids get their own tree in their rooms to decorate. I love your Christmas journal. Such a great idea to help keep things organized with all of the hustle & bustle.
Thats great that the kids get a tree in their rooms! I remember I used to keep a little 3 foot tree in my room. I feel kind of bad this year cause I am having a hard time getting into the spirit of Christmas, which is odd for me! I am just fed up with all the dumb snow bird in all the stores here lol.
