to:me from:me

This year I am really trying to give myself the gift of Christmas.

I am not going to make a huge to do list, with activities, and presents, and rush, rush, stress, stress.

That isn't what this time of year is about.

I only get just short of a month to enjoy Christmas, and I want to really enjoy it.

I don't want my days to feel rushed, I want to sit and read books with the kids and not think about my huge long to-do list.

I don't want to have to drink lots of energy drinks to get the most out of my way too busy day, I want to drink hot chocolate and eat yummy rich chocolate candy and not even think about what it's doing to my hips.

I want to make snow angels before I shovel the drive-way.

I don't want to worry about buying the perfect gifts and making sure everyone has everything on their list instead of making sure my kids get a candy cane in their lunch box with a letter to remind them to put their gloves on at recess.

I don't want to park the kids in front of the t.v. so I can wrap presents, I want to turn on Christmas carols and all sing as we get homework done.

I don't want to forget to read the story of Baby Jesus because I'm too busy going to activity after activity.

My gift is not a big long "to do" list.
It's a big long "NOT to do list!"

I took a break from cleaning this afternoon to try a picture. See me there in the ornament? That's me wishing you an enjoyable merry afternoon,...... sooner than later!
