Avery's First Day

Avery's official first day of school!!!

She was a little confused as to why she didn't go to school with the boys. She is in afternoon Kinder, so that I can coach my Cheerleaders, and it took her a few days before she got the hang of going after lunch, and everyday. She absolutely LOVES her teacher, and her friends, and her school. She takes it VERY seriously.

On her first day of school she wanted to go have "cheesy burritos" for lunch. So I took her out to lunch. She was miss chatterbox, talking a mile a minute, so excited for what her first day had in store for her.

Then we got to school, she power walked right up to line up. She wanted to be the first in line, (still does) and she didnt' even need to give me a hug or anything. I had to ask her for a hug. And then once the door opened to go into class, she didn't even look back to wave or say bye or anything. The teacher told all the kids to wave bye to their Mom's because we weren't allowed in class that first day, and she did a very half hearted wave, she just wanted to get on with it and get to work!

Like I said, she was all business.

She got to ride the bus home from school with her big brothers. She was SUPER SUPER SUPER excited about this. I went down to the school to make sure that her brothers got her from class and got her on the right bus, she seemed to be annoyed with that. She really just wants to do everything on her own. She told the boys that I worry too much. Well excuse me!!! After I made sure they were on the bus I raced home so I could take pictures of her coming off the bus.

Blaise was so cute with her. He held her hand, and had her sit right by him, even though she wanted to sit with her friend.

So, she is a Kindergartner now. She loves it, and I have gotten used to it. It's an adjustment having 2 and a half hours a day with no kids, but it's not a bad thing. They are growing up, and they are really good kids. I just have to remind myself that this is my job, to teach them to LOVE life and be excited about their adventures. And little miss sure is!

"Baby" is growing up. I love her zest for life, she is so happy go lucky and always has a song in her heart (not to mention is usually singing out loud too). She is my sunshine, just like her Momma.
