Worst day ever!
Avery's first day of school was a success! Her second, not so much. It has been deemed the "worst day ever!"
She got off to school, I headed off to coach cheer. I get home about 20 minutes before their bus drops them off. It was a nice warm day, so I waited outside on the grass reading. After awhile I realized that they should have been home by then. I went inside to look at the time and they were 15 minutes late. I went back outside, and looked for other kids, and nothing. I started walking up the street when I saw them walking towards me, from like a block away!
I get up to them and see that Caiden had been crying and that Avery was STILL crying. Blaise told me that the road crew, (they are re-doing all the water lines in our neighborhood so they have the road all tore up.) won't let the bus in the neighborhood anymore, so the bus had to drop the kids off five blocks away.
Now granted, five blocks isn't THAT far, but Caiden HATES walking, hates it. And Avery had already had enough of her day.
Like I said, she was crying, so I picked her up and walked her the rest of the way home, and she told me about what happened at school. She was pushed into the metal monkey bars, face first. I looked at her mouth and was shocked. She had a blood blister on her lip, her mouth was STILL bleeding, her gums were black, and she had blue paint on her front teeth, that I couldn't get off. She hit the metal with such force that blue paint came off onto her teeth.
I felt so bad for her. I gave her some ice chips, and scooped her up. We had to race off to a soccer game for Blaise.
We drove to the soccer game, and Caiden and Ava had to go to the bathroom, so as soon as we got to the field we walk over to the bathrooms, on our way back to the field Avery and Caiden decide to race. I yelled, "stop running, someone is gonna get hurt!"
A minute later Avery fell. I walked over to her, a little mad at her, mumbling something like "this is why Mommy says to not run." She immediatley got up and told me sorry for not listening. I scoop her up, ask if she is okay, she says her arm hurts. That was that.
We are watching the game, and she was sitting on my lap the entire game. NOT like her at all. She just wanted me to hold her, so I KNEW she did something to her arm. A friend of mine and I were asking her to move it, she could, but when she went to squeeze my hand, she cried.
So we watched the game, Blaise was captian, he scored a goal, and they won against their biggest rivals, and then we headed straight to the quick care.
The doctor looked at her mouth and her arm. I figures while we were there, he could check out her earlier incident. He said to take her to the dentist in the morning because it looks like there was some damage, and he wanted to do an x-ray.
She broke her arm!!!
I couldn't believe it!
So I took her to the dentist, she killed one of her front teeth, took her to her pediatrician, he couldn't cast it because it was too swollen, so she had to stay home from school the next 2 days so that she wouldn't injure her arm anymore.
Can you believe that day!!! Poor little girl!!!
We got it cast, waterproof is a life saver. She got a bunch of signatures, and she heeled up good!!
No more bad days!!!

Oh, poor thing. And, please, please tell me there was a conversation at school about that incident. That is crazy.
Love this little bug, she is so, so, sweet. She was so excited for school, I am so sorry her first day turned out so crazy. She was so cute about having people sign her cast and telling them were to sign and then what else she wanted them to put, too cute! I am still so upset about the incident at school, not too happy with the way they handled it, and don't even get me started on those idiot's doing the road work in your neighborhood.
BIG (((HUGS)))
