Soccer star

Caiden started another season of soccer.

This last year has been so fun with him because he is SO SO SO good. He plays against 11 year olds and does just fine.

Since he was only 6 when we signed him up they wouldn't let him play up, for safety reasons. We put him in a soccer camp, put him with the six year olds, and the director moved him up with the seven year olds. He played with them for a day, and then he was moved up with the 8 year olds. Played with them for a day and they wanted to move him up to the TEN year olds, but I didn't want him to get hurt, he is really good, but really small, so we kept him with the eight year olds,........he was the best one on the field.

We have had several coaches try to scout him for their club. He has other parents video taping HIM, not their kid, it's like everyone wants a piece of his future, because if he keeps playing the way he does, it's going to be bright.

He wanted to play competition soccer this year, EVERYONE wanted him to. The state won't let you until you are 8, so he has to wait another year.

Jason is coaching his team this year. Caiden has made at least 5 goals every game. He is a stand out. Everyone LOVES to watch him play. People watch him more than their own kid!

The last time we were at his Respiratory Therapist, his doctor and him got talking about the severity of his asthma and him playing soccer. Caiden got a little teary eyed and told his doctor that he loves soccer, and he doesn't want to stop playing, and he doesn't want to take it easy, but he doesn't like feeling sick either. His doctor is the best! He gave Caiden a hug and said that his job is to keep Caiden breathing AND playing soccer. That made Caiden's day! And so far, Caiden has been okay. I don't like how much medicine he needs to take, but I know that it's keeping him healthy, so I try not to think about it.

I am glad he enjoys it so much. He lives for soccer, and it shows!

I love this little man, and I get teary eyed too every time I think about him having to deal with this horrible disease and all that goes with it. It is my most fervant prayer that he and his super doctor can keep it under control so he can always continue to do what he loves, with no limitations.
He is AWESOME!!!
