Rec Soccer

Caiden and Avery both played their first year with La Roca Rec. Jason was the coach for both teams, and he loved it.

Caiden did so well. He was clearly born to play soccer. His team won every single game, Caiden averaged 5 goals a game. After that Jason wouldn't let him score anymore. He made a lot of great friends on the team and is hoping to play with them again next year.

At the end of the season they played in a little tournament and they were the U7 champs. The last game of the tournament was so funny, they were tied and Caiden accidently scored an own goal (a goal for the other team.) The ball bounced off his body right into the net. He was so upset. You could just see it in his face. So all of us parents were just yelling that it was okay, and just go score one for his team now.

So the whistle blew, he touched the ball and carried it all the way to the net, shot and scored. It was that easy. The sideline erupted with laughter and cheers. We ended up scoring a few after that too and won the game.

Avery played for the first time this year. She is a natural. She played with boys, but that didn't stop her. She was tough and rough. She scored every game. She LOVED playing on her daddy's team and it looks like we have another hard core soccer player on our hands.
