Pioneer Day

I love living in Utah for several reasons, but one of the best reasons is because we get 4th of July AND Pioneer day. 2 days of parades, fireworks and patriotic celebrating!!!

This year both boys played in the La Roca Pioneer Cup. It was the first year for Caiden to play and it was his first tournament. He was super excited.

Blaise has played in it the past 4 years, but this year he pulled his hamstring during the first game of the cup, and was told he was out for 8 weeks. He was not really excited when his physical therapist told him that.

So we cheered on Caiden, and they won for their age group. He was so happy when he was told he would be getting a trophy.

On Saturday night we went to the ReAL Salt Lake Game. We love going to those. Caiden was invited to walk out on the field for the Parade of Kings and do the opening excercises.

Here he is with his friends.

The game was awesome! And after the game we went out on the field and watched the fireworks.

It was a perfect weekend. My birthday was that weekend too, it was a hard day for me. I didn't feel like celebrating any days for me. But I got through it, and hopefully each year will get a little easier.
