Grand Central Station
I wanted to make a sign for above my "everything" buffet. We have a wall that divides the kitchen and the family room, where the dining room is, and that is where we have the phone, the laptop, our mail, all the "stuff." So I have been wanting to organize it and make it flow with the house. So I made the above sign. TOO CUTE!!! I decoupaged it. I LOVE decoupaging! But once I got it all done and hung in that space, it did't flow with the house, so I made another one. Much better.
Although I think the first one is cuter, the second one fits the house much better. I love my new little "Grand Central Station" area! Now we just need to paint the walls! One of these days.......one of these days!

What a great idea! It looks so good, like straight out of Pottery Barn.
That looks AWESOME!!!! I'm so jealous! I don't have a wall that would work for something like that! You are sooooo creative!
Man Jamie, I've been waiting all morning for you to post so I didn't take your spot...JUST KIDDING!!! Love ya girl! Heather, these are both amazing. I absolutely love the first one, too cute, but I totally agree that the second one goes better with the flow of your house. It seriously does look like something straight out of Pottery Barn. Will you come finish decorating my house please?
I LOVE that board....your house is decorated beautifully.
Wow girl are you creative...when I move you guys can come up fish, hike and decorate...I need Jason to paint for me too! I'm finally on the blog.... Check me out...
Aunt Debbie
WAY TOO CUTE! THAT LOOKS AWESOME, ALL THE RIGHT DECORATING GUIDE LINES FOLLOWED, GREAT JOB. HOW PERFECT IS THE "GRAND CENTRAL STATION" FOR YOUR FAMILY? ALWAYS, SO BUSY, AND ALWAYS COMING OR GOING, PERFECT. I LOVE IT! THE HOUSE IS COMING ALONG PERFECTLY, IT LOOKS GREAT, SEE YOU DIDN'T EVEN NEED MY DECORATING HELP. OH BY THE WAY IS THAT THE NOW INFAMOUS "MIRROR" FRAME, THAT YOUR WONDERFULLY TALENTED HUSBAND MADE? I LOVE THAT FRAME HE DID SUCH AN AWESOME JOB! DAD WAS WAY TO BUSY TO MAKE MINE WHEN I WANTED IT, SO I HAD TO BUY IT FROM POTTERY BARN, YIKES!
Yep, that is the frame Jason made. The mirror broke in the move so we took it out and VOILA had a beautiful frame to center our "STATION" He is wonderful!! I am not as rich as you to buy anything at Pottery Barn! :( Someday, someday!
OH YOU FUNNY GIRL, SURELY YOU JEST ABOUT THE MONEY PART? YOUR FATHER IS JUST QUITE GOOD AT GETTING OUT OF HIS HONEY DEW LIST, HIS FAVORITE TWO ARE, "I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME RIGHT NOW", OR, "YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST BUY IT, BECAUSE BY THE TIME I BUY THE MATERIAL TO DO IT AND ADD MY TIME, IT WILL COST ABOUT THE SAME ANYWAY"! YOU SEE TO YOUR FATHER, TIME IS MONEY. SO FOR MY FRAME THAT HE KNEW I REALLY, REALLY WANTED, HE USED BOTH OF THE ABOVE REASONS. GOTTA LOVE HIM. PLUS I THINK HE WAS A LITTLE BURNT OUT FROM US JUST DOING A COMPLETE REMODEL OF OUR HOUSE. NOTE TO SELF - MUST GIVE HUSBAND BREAKS IN BETWEEN THE HONEY DEWS.
