The Fifth.
After not doing much on the Fourth, I was really looking forward to the Fifth. My best friend Jamie was flying in to spend a girls weekend with her Aunt, Cousin and Mama, so I was able to hang out with her all afternoon. It was so needed. We went to lunch, to Tai Pan, picked up her Mom at the airport then all 5 of us went out to dinner. They are a crack up! What a fun bunch of gals! I love her Mom, she is such a sweetie. And since Jamie and I have been best friends for like 10 years, I have met her Aunt and Cousin a few times, so it was just fun to all go out and laugh.
I really needed this day out. With Jason being out of town for the beginning of this week, and then Blaise being sick, and just everything else going on, it has been FOREVER since I had a day out. I realized today that I don't take much time for me. I am always trying to keep the kids entertained,.............which if anyone knows my kids, they KNOW this is quite the task. And keep the house clean, help with Jason's business, cook, BLOG, run a million errands, LAUNDRY.....I just don't take a lot of time for myself. Heck, it's been OVER 3 months since Jason and I have had a date. So I decided on my way home from my glorious day with Jamie, that I didn't want to end, that I need to start getting out more.
I think that Jamie and her family are so smart, and lucky, to take this weekend and have a "girls weekend!" So I want to plan one. It's so important for girls to spend time together, to inspire each other, lift each other up, let loose and have fun. Then go back to their families refreshed and eager and happy to be Mommy again. I loved seeing Jamie. I miss ya girl!! (and I still can't believe we didn't take any pictures of us............again!!!)
And I am definitely planning a girls trip now! Anyone want to join?

So glad you and Jamie got to visit. I still can't believe her and I haven't gotten together and we only live like 30 minutes away from eachother. How much did she LOVE Tai Pan??? We'll definitely have to plan some fun weekend outing together. WOO-HOO!
Hey I will join you! let me know when! hehehe. I hope that you are well and am glad that you werea blet o see Jamie again!
BETTER LATE TO THE PARTY THAN NEVER! FRIDAY'S WE DON'T GET BACK HOME TO ARIZONA FROM WORKING IN VEGAS, UNTIL ABOUT 10:00 SO WE'RE LATE TO JOIN THE BLOGS ON MOST FRIDAYS. ANYWAY, BACK TO THE SUBJECT AT HAND. WE THINK IT'S A GREAT IDEA, WE ARE FOR SURE IN. TRIED TO PLAN SOMETHING A FEW TIMES, BUT IT NEVER WORKED OUT, SO MAYBE YOU'LL HAVE BETTER LUCK, WE'RE THERE FOR YOU BABE. DAD WANTS EQUAL TIME WITH A BOYS WEEKEND TRIP. HERE'S OUR THOUGHTS, PLAN A GUY WEEKEND, A GIRL WEEKEND AND A FAMILY WEEK EVERY YEAR, JUST MAKE THEM A YEARLY TRADITION, THEN EVERYONE HAS A YEAR TO KNOW ABOUT IT AND PLAN FOR IT, THOSE WHO CAN MAKE IT GREAT, IF NOT THEN THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR. SO LET'S START BY MAKING THIS JULY SEA WORLD TRIP OUR FAMILY TRIP OF THE YEAR (BESIDES CHRISTMAS OF COURSE). THEN ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS PLAN A GIRLS & GUYS! WE BETTER GET CRACKING THOUGH THERE IS ONLY 5+ MONTHS LEFT FOR THIS YEAR, AND WE DON'T WANT TO WASTE EVEN ONE YEAR.
SUPER FUN, LET'S DO IT, DO IT, JUST DO IT. (THAT WAS OUR LAME IMPERSONATION FROM STARSKY & HUTCH)
Okay, my cousin came up with the idea, but I came up there for you too! I was SO happy to finally see your "crib" and hang out with just me and you! Sounds cheesy I know, but it feels like it's been FOREVER since we've been able to do that! Thank you sooooo much for driving me around and taking the time to "hang"! It was a TOTAL blast and I loved every second of it! I wish so badly that you lived closer. AND that there was more awesome shopping here like in SLC! So jealous! Thanks girlie....LOVE YOU!
I wanna go!
