The fourth!

This is what I had planned for the Fourth:

Put the kids in their cute patriotic outfits.
Make them a special breakfast - star shaped french toast with berries.
Take the kids to the Parade.
Meet Daddy at the County Picnic.
Walk around the fair.
Play on the slip and slide.
Have a BBQ.
Do fireworks, and go watch the fireworks show.

I was so excited!!!

But,

Blaise woke up at 3:30 screaming. Caiden was screaming too. Blaise had thrown up, on Caiden. (they have bunk beds, and Caiden always rolls off his lower bunk to the floor, and Blaise leaned over as to not make a gross mess in his bed.) So we had to clean it up, which woke up Ava, so all 4 of us went downstairs and turned on the TV.
Not much is on at 4 in the morning.
I did make the cute little patriotic breakfast though.
But Blaise threw it up.
Caiden and Ava seemed to enjoy themselves though. So we just stayed in our jammies most the day and watched TV until Jason came home. Poor Blaise was just so sick all day. He didn't feel like moving or eating dinner, and he didn't want to go watch the fireworks show. So we just did a few here in the front yard. Poor thing. Caiden loved the sparklers. Avery thought our fireworks were "good." She kept saying that, it was so cute. And she would keep grabbing another one for Jason to do and she called them, "hemmy's" for some reason, and would hand it to him and then say "hemmy, hemmy!" and they say"good. thank you!" after he took it from her.

All and all the evening turned out fun. We came in and we ALL crashed in bed by ten. I know, I know, we are all fuddy-duddy's!

Update:Blaise is still sick. Poor thing! And first thing this morning, Ava asked for more "hemmy's"
