Way Back Wednesday
Happy Birthday America!!!
As a kid, we made a big deal about every holiday. Well, actually, my Mom made a big deal about every holiday. I loved it. It made life fun and special. 4th of July was no different.
Jason and I were talking about our favorite holidays, mine are obviously Christmas and Halloween. Jason said that growing up his favorite holiday was 4th of July. He loved it and couldn't wait for it every year. The night before the 4th, was much like the night before Christmas. He remembers how his whole entire street would have a block party, and everyone would bring food, and fireworks, and that all the kids would play from sun up to sun down. They would make and eat homemade ice cream and then do fireworks in the evening. He would wait all year for that day, and it would never disappoint.

I grew up in Southern California, and it's one of the best places to be for the 4th......well besides Jason's cute little street. In Cali you can't do your own fireworks, so it's all about finding the best show.
Some of my 4th of July memory's:
Going over to the Martins and watching the fireworks from their backyard.
BBQ's - my Dad is a Grill Master.
Del Mar Fair fireworks! THE BEST!
Going to the beach and watching the fireworks by the water.
My cousin catching our neighbors yard on fire with a fire cracker.
The patriotic cake!
Camping.
Taking the boat out on Mission Bay and watching the fireworks!
No wonder that this was Jason's favorite holiday as a kid. It's all about the lemonade, the BBQ's, the parades, the patriotism, wearing red, white and blue, strawberries and blueberries, picnics, the fireworks, the family and friends, the overwhelming emotion that comes with what this holiday is about. I love it all, and I love remembering some of my"way back" 4th's. So,...................What is your favorite 4th of July memory?

Perfect idea for a post today, I love it. It was fun to read over all your memories, those were some GOOD TIMES! Jason's street growing up sounds awesome, too fun. I LOVE AMERICA! Happy 4th of July everyone!
WE LOVE AMERICA, WE LOOOOVE THE 4TH OF JULY, WE LOVE THE MEMORIES AND THE GOOD TIMES OF 4TH'S PAST. WE ARE THANKFUL FOR THE FAMILY TIME THE 4TH PROVIDES, AND WE ARE THANKFUL FOR THE FREEDOMS WE HAVE, BECAUSE OF JULY 4, 1776. WE ARE THANKFUL THAT WE HAVE CHILDREN WHO LOVE AND RESPECT THEIR COUNTRY, AND ARE NOT ASHAMED TO STAND UP AND SAY THAT. MY FAVORITE ALL TIME 4TH'S WERE THE ONES WE SPENT AT THE BEACH, NOTHING BETTER THAN BEING AT THE BEACH ALL DAY, HOT DOG ROAST AT NIGHT AROUND THE FIRE, SMORES, YUMMY AND FUN FOOD, AND THE FIREWORKS OUT OVER THE OCEAN. DAD'S FAVORITES ARE THE ONES SPENDING THE DAY AT THE FAIR, COTTON CANDY, FOOD, BUILDINGS AND BUILDINGS OF EXHIBITS, THE CONCERT AND THEN THE FIREWORKS. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
