My "Yee-Ha" list.
Things that are making me happy lately:
This -* it's a total life saver. Almost our entire main level is hardwood floors, and sweeping it was quite the chore, until this came along. We call it the "chore master."
* My hubby. He has been home by 5 every night this week. AND he brought me my new "chore master."
* "Yee Ha!" Avery says this every time something makes her happy, it then makes me happy!
* Blaise has been reading things lately, all on his own. He will read a box label, or a sign, or something on the T.V. I am so proud of him. He hated doing his reading homework so I was worried about him reading through the summer, but he has been doing really good.
* Liahona.net I found this site from someone else's blog. Very cool. You can download church music for free. I downloaded some of the Primary songs for us to listen to in the morning while we are crafting instead of having the TV on.
* Caiden is getting better about potty training. He ACTUALLY wants to wear underwear now. I am thinking that hopefully by the time he serves his mission, he will be in underwear FULL TIME! :)

This book. My friend Jamie recommended it, and I have just loved reading it. I especially loved the chapter I read last night about "walking in each other's shoes." It's about the sad truth, that Mother's judge other Mother's WAY too much, without ever "walking in their shoes." I try not to judge other Mom's or compare myself to other Mom's, but it's human nature and it's hard. So I loved this chapter because it reminded me of how we don't have to all be the same, do the same things, or look the same, but that we DO have to help each other and not be so judgemental of ourselves or of others. Motherhood is the hardest job in the world, and instead of bringing each other down, we should be lifting each other up. It's nice to get that reminder sometimes, and to know that we don't have to be as "perfect" as someone else seems. Some of my favorite quotes from this chapter were: "Instead of competing with each other, we ought to be building relationships with each other." and "I am absolutely convinced that no mother has it easy. Most mothers don't make decisions hastily, without thinking about the impact of those choices. We each do things our own way, with individualized care and attention from the Lord." and "Can we love and support each other without judging each other harshly. Let us support one another, even when - especially when - we differ on matters of personal choice and circumstance. Those are usually differences of preference, not principle." I could go on and on. You just have to read the book. It will make you say "YEE HA!" too.
* This is my next book to read.
I am excited. I have heard such great things about it!
* We are going to Lagoon tomorrow.
* Only 9 more days until our San Diego vacation!
* I have been working on my 100 day challenge. I have organized most of my digital scrapbooking files onto discs. Phew!...........I mean, "Yee Ha!"
Hope you are all having a happy day!

I have a lot of dark wood floor on my main floor and it is my least favorite thing to clean it. What kind of mop/sweeper is that? I Am Mother is my next book to read. I loved the quotes you shared and it makes me excited to start it soon.
My "yee-ha" list consists of reading your blog, it always makes me happy. I so want to read that mother book, it sounds amazing. It is so true that we are so quick to judge one another for whatever silly reason when really we should all do our best to help lift one another up. After all, raising a child is the hardest and most important thing we'll ever do. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I made some negative comment once to Jared about something some mother in our ward had done. Later on I had heard of some really hard things she was going through, and suddenly what she did completely made sense to me. I realized I probably would've done the same thing in her situation. It was one of those times that just reminded me that I should NEVER judge because I don't know what is going on in someone else's life. Too bad I have to keep learning this lesson over & over again!
I'm so glad you love that book. I haven't even heard of the other one, but I will have to add it to my list. I love your title! YEE HA!!
Jess, - It's an industrial sweeper, like they use on schools and such. You can get it at Home Depot or Lowe's. I highly recommend it. It is SOOOO much easier and quicker than sweeping with a regular broom!
Hollie, - I finished the book last night, so if you want I will bring it down to Cali with me and then you can borrow it. It was a really easy, fast good read!
"YEE-HA" TO KIDS, GRANDKIDS, HUSBANDS, SISTERS, MOMS, FRIENDS, LIFE AND BLOGS. I LOVE READING ALL THE DIFFERENT BLOGS, I GET SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM EACH ONE, THEY ARE FUN, UPLIFTING, AND THEY ALWAYS PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE AND A SONG IN MY HEART. WE CAN SEE BY SHARING THEM WE ARE ALL PRETTY MUCH THE SAME, WE SHARE MOST OF THE SAME LIFE EXPERIENCES, THEY REMIND US WE ARE ALL GOD'S CHILDREN AND WE ARE HERE TO LEARN, AND BECOME MORE CHRIST LIKE. WE NEED TO HELP SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER, HAVE LOVE AND COMPASSION FOR EACH OTHER, BE EACH OTHERS CHEERLEADERS. NOT JUDGE, BECAUSE YOU NEVER TRULY KNOW WHAT SOMEONE ELSE MAY BE GOING THROUGH. SO FROM ONE MOTHER, CHILD OF GOD & BLOGGER TO ANOTHER, THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE LESSONS, YOUR PASSIONS, AND YOUR THOUGHTS AND PICTURES WITH US THROUGH YOUR BLOGS.
AS FOR THE DUST MOP, WE HAVE ONE OF THOSE, LOVE IT. DAD BOUGHT IT WHEN WE MOVED INTO THIS HOUSE, SINCE OUR WHOLE HOUSE IS WOOD FLOORING, NO CARPET! HE CALLS IT A JANITORS MOP, HE CAN REMEMBER SEEING THE SCHOOL JANITORS PUSHING THEM UP AND DOWN THE HALL WAYS WHEN HE WAS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
(FUNNY THE THINGS HE CAN REMEMBER, WITH IS MEMORY)
