Our Song
So the other night I was watching the Snoop Doggy Dog reality show, Fatherhood.
It was quite touching.
Anyways, Snoop was doing a surprise wedding vow renewal ceremony for his wife, and he had a band play "their" song.
This got me thinking. Jason and I don't really have a song. At our wedding we couldn't figure out a song we wanted to dance to, so we had our good friend Cameron pick one of his favorite songs to sing. (He sang all the songs at our wedding. He was an amazing singer.) Neither one of his remember what song it was.
So the other day we were at lunch and I brought this up to Jason that we don't have a song. So we started brainstorming.
This is what we came up with.

Summer Lovin' - Grease
I want your Sex - George Micheal (sorry Mom!)
Highway to Hell - ACDC
Final Countdown - Europe (we would LOVE if Job from Arrested Development sang and danced to this for us!!!)
Girl you know it's true - Milli Vanilli (this is his song for me.)
I want Candy - Bangles (this is my song for him.)
Then on the way home Jason said he had figured it out.
For Real!!!
He picked Run by Georg Strait. It's perfect for us! We dated long distance for a year before we got married so this totally fits. And it still fits. If we aren't together then we aren't where we are supposed to be. I love him! And now we have "OUR SONG!"

Thanks a lot Heather, this is going to totally drive me nuts! I know what song Cameron sang at your wedding. I hear it every once in awhile on the radio and think "hey, this is Heather & Jason's song". But now I can't think of it for the life of me, it's right on the tip of my tongue. Man, now I'm going to obsess about this until I think of it. Anyway, I love Run, it's such a good song. That's funny because our song (Cross My Heart) is also by George Strait. Well, I'll let you know when I figure it out.
WE HAVE "OUR SONG". HOWEVER THROUGH THE YEARS, WE ADD AND DELETE SONGS THAT FIT THE PLACE IN LIFE WE ARE CURRENTLY AT. I LOVE IT, BECAUSE I LOVE MUSIC AND THERE ARE SOME REALLY GREAT SONGS OUT THERE. OUR LIFE TOGETHER IS ALWAYS CHANGING, GROWING, EVOLVING, SO WHY NOT PICK A SONG THAT REPRESENTS AND CELEBRATES EACH NEW STAGE OF OUR LIVES TOGETHER. I REALLY LOVE ALL YOUR SONG CHOICES, YOU GUYS ARE TOO FUNNY!
