The gang!

My boys have joined a gang!

I don't know if I've mentioned it, but my boys are OBSESSED with all things Star Wars, especially Star Wars, Clone Wars. They have TONS of figurines, they have a million light sabers, they know the lingo, Caiden even has the Millennium Falcon, which NO JOKE, it's bigger than him!!! My Mom found them a Yoda translator on line that we've been having a lot of fun with, and Avery even says she is a "baby Jedi."

Well everyday Blaise and Caiden get together with their cousins and play Star Wars. It's pretty funny to watch them. Their newest thing is to write each other notes everyday. They made little Star Wars mail boxes and they write missions to each other and pass it along to their Mail Box that is by the house doors. Blaise will write pages and pages of missions. It's been SO good for them because it gets him to practice writing and reading. Even Caiden. It's so funny to hear him sound out words. He's really getting it down!

We went to Parent/teacher conference yesterday and they are both at level, which last semester they weren't. In fact, they are both ABOVE level, AND..............they BOTH are receiving their classes "Academic Excellence" award for this last semester! I am so proud of them. The boys are convinced it's because of the FORCE! And you know what, I think they are right! I think their mission letters are really helping!

(I wanted to take a picture of the mission letters, but apparently I'm an adult, and a girl, so I can't see them!!!)

Blaise and caiden, great fighters and defenders of knowledge, you are.

So proud of both you boys, I am. Yes, hmmm.

To continue to learn and seek knowledge, your mission is. Yes, hmmm.

With you and keep you safe and protected go forth now and may the force always be.

They may very well be on to something with the "Force" idea and their good grades! Focusing on such a positive hobby truly has it's benefits!
I love the picture.

How awesome that an obsessive hobby has helped them in school and in life. That's really what life is all about, right? Learning to be a better person while having fun. They're learning that at such an early age.

I have to say that I love Blaise's outfit...a polo shirt under a t-shirt. He's got so much style!
